I've seen him twice. Once about 7 years ago when he toured with Oasis and just recently I saw him front row at Jazzfest in NOLA. He is great live. He still played some of his old stuff. If you want to check out some songs, try Cold Roses, Let it Ride (he played this at Jazzfest), and To Be Young, which was in the movie Old School.
confession: I was about 30 seconds away from making a Ryan Adams AE and popping by to say hello.
I thought you were more of a Bryan Adams fan??
I've tried those designer lines from A-Z/But there's only one thing that looks good on me...The only thing I choose is that/The only thing that looks good on me is you.
Until I met my friend, I had not. I do sometimes live under a rock of sorts. Didn't he start out quite country-ish? We don't listen to country in our house. I understand he's gone a bit more alternative now. I'm looking forward to the concert. I've never been to a concert of someone I wasn't a huge fan of already before so it'll be fun!
I wouldn't call him country. Maybe alt country if you're stretching it. I'm not a big music person and I've known who he is for 15 years. I enjoy his music but seriously question his hairdo.
Alt country is not remotely a stretch for him. Whiskeytown was one of the great alt country bands of the 90s.
If you don't own Faithless Street and Stranger's Almanac, you have no taste in music and should just give up on life.
