Tell her you can't afford emergency vet without a raise. Then ask when your next review is scheduled?
LOL, I would love to do this, but she's knows I'm on my way out anyways. I just graduated and I already have a job tentatively set up for the Fall. She's been interviewing for my replacement.

While you may know there is a hidden meaning, just take the words at face value. IF you reply, I'd just say "Oh, thanks for the info. I am familiar w/ it but my vet doesn't feel this is an ER emergency. That's why he's fitting me in tomorrow". But I don't even feel you have to respond. But tha'ts what I would say tomorrow, then, if she brings it up.

Sometimes they won't charge the full fee of it isn't really an emergency and they can help other animals. The last 3 times I have taken my cats in, I haven't been charged full rate. It still wasn't cheap, but the vet never is. I wouldn't rush over if my vet said I could wait until next morning. It takes away from other animals that need more urgent care.
