We bought a garden gnome (at CVS, of all places) when we lived in Ohio, and he's made three moves with us. But the California sun was really starting to get to his (no doubt toxic chemical laden) paint job. He was faded to a sort of mottled grayish pink and it was SAD.
So this last weekend I set out to refresh him. I went to HD to buy white spray paint, but instead this happened:
Also, I feel the need to note that his name has always been Steven. But lately, we've started calling him Phteven because the (tuna the dog) meme cracks me up.
And one last Tuna PIP (which made me gigglesnort OUT LOUD the first time I saw it):
The guy who does my mulching (when I don't do it myself) leaves behind a gnome as his calling card. He tucks them in so they aren't easily spotted. The weird thing is that he sort of looks like a garden gnome himself which is why he does it- to remind you to call him.

Dear God - that looks SO MUCH like my stepdad AND The cat we used to have!!!!

I always suspected he had a secret family somewhere.
