Pacific Northwest checking in at 2:30 am! Nothing like crutching to the bathroom, being in pain, cuddling your dog and taking pain pills! I want this foot healed asap!

I broke my ankle two years ago. Specifically, I fractured my fibula and snapped the tibiofibular ligament.
My ortho gave me the option of undergoing the ORIF procedure (surgery to put in screws/plate(s)) or to let the bone heal naturally. For various reasons I opted for the surgery.
If you have any questions, let me know! Or even if you'd just like someone to commiserate with. Haha. I was on percocet for quite a while, and was in pain, hobbling to the bathroom, etc... I get it!! It really sucks.

What bone(s) did you break?
Is it bad I don't even remember? I know I only broke one bone, so that's good. Has it really been 2 years already? I remember when you did that.
I've never broken a bone (knocking on wood here). I hope you heal quickly!
I'm off of work today so H and I are going out with MIL to do some shopping and grab lunch. I'm looking forward to lunch, this cafe around the corner is delicious. I get the Mediterranean breakfast which is slices of cucumber, slices of tomato, feta cheese, halloumi cheese, slices of garlic sausage, and two eggs served with honey. Now I'm even more excited, haha.

I just rinsed out a purple conditioning treatment for blondes. I haven't dried my hair yet, so I have no idea if it makes any difference in the appearance of brassiness/yellow tones, but it smells AMAZING!! Love.
Today is my last day of work this week! We are taking a long weekend with my family - not a true vacation, because a trip with parents (or for H, in-laws) isn't super relaxing, but I am so excited to get away. I have so much to do at work, but hoping to leave early enough to get a pedicure!

Which conditioning treatment?

Edit: I cannot for the life of me get the link to work. lol
Today is Beta day, which after I received my results will henceforth be renamed to 'drink booze day'. My stomach is already tossing and turning, I just want my negative results so I have an excuse to go home early and wallow. (I know, I should suck it up and finish the day.)
Tonight is awards ceremony night at work and I really don't want to go. Technically, I have to because I'm on the team, but I don't have a homeroom, so I don't really have a job. Just makes being there that much more annoying. I won't really get to see Ingrid at all today except for the feeding I gave her this morning because by the time I get home it will be after 8pm. I just need this school year to be over - we've gotten to the point in the year when it is a struggle to get them to focus at all.

Today Lucy woke up and said, "mom, it's my last whole day being six!" She was so excited. I am near tears, lol. She also requested an ice cream cake for her classroom treat, but I feel bad asking her teacher to cut a cake. Plus it's like a thousand degrees out, it'll be a puddle if they arent quick about it. Maybe individually wrapped piece of cake? Hmmmm.
We did Insanity Max this morning after taking a 2 week break. noooooopppppeee
I now remember why I don't cook fish. We bough fresh fish off a truck this week (lol) and my house has REEKED ever since. We grilled the fish. I forgot to take the shrimp shell garbage out last night and like and idiot I put my rinsed cutting board in the dishwasher instead of washing it right away. /puke
The red snapper and shrimp were good though! I think I am going to stick to letting others cooking it for me. Deveining the shrimp alone reminded me why I don't do this often.
It is the last day of school for the girls! I am so excited, no more having to get up and go. I am so not excited, last day where I will have time to myself during the week.
joenali I have broken a few bones in my day (seriously it sucks, but I was way younger) and one of them wasn't setting quite right (leg) and then we opted to insert a rod and screws in my leg. I wish we would have done it sooner, I was able to walk on the leg immediately. The only downside- surgery a couple of years later to remove the rod.
I have so much to do today, and zero motivation. I can't wait until school is out, while I don't get a summer break, a lot of the extra stuff I have going on goes away through the summer.
DS recognizes the Starbucks drive-thru and asks for a triangle cookie (mini vanilla scone) when we get to it. I'm not sure how I feel about this, lol.
I caught L's nasty cold, which turned into laryngitis. So now I have no voice, but I answer phones all day. I'm hoping my supervisor will just let me catch up on work today, because I am pretty behind.
It's my anniversary. Mr. Wambam was super sneaky and managed to hide a beautiful flower arrangement in the spare closet yesterday. I like him. I'll keep him.
Shocking no one, I learned it is much easier to get out of the house with a dog than a baby. I took my pup to the groomer, stopped for a bagel, and was still the first person in at my office (of about 50 people). I couldn't even find all the light switches.
When I stopped for a bagel there was a dad and a little boy maybe 5 or 6 years old walking in at the same time. The dad held the door for me and the little guy ran in. The dad stopped him inside and very quietly explained to him that we have to let ladies go first to be polite. I don't know why but it was just so sweet. It made me smile.
I am feeling extra super emotional today (see the story above) this should make for an interesting day at work.

I have this right now too. And in the afternoons I also answer phones. Yesterday was interesting. I hope you feel better soon!

I want to hear if this works. I had my hair highlighted on Saturday and it looks super brassy and someone suggested a blueberry shampoo - not sure if that would be worth it.

Thanks, I hope you feel better too! I am on phones from 12-4:30 today and I suspect it's going to be a disaster.

VeryViolet you're right.....I just hate to be a pain/complainer.
Toner is easy and I have even had the hairdresser say to me come back and she would tone it for free because it might get a little brassy. I feel you though I also had to complain.
