I don't really have any talents, which I'm fine with. Someone has to be average. Even the H&F stuff is in large part due to persistence.
joenali My parents were both teachers and it is definitely a talent. My brother seems to have gotten their gift and is a coach now. I do well with entertaining small groups of children, but don't expect them to learn anything.
I echo the "pretty good at lots of things, not an expert at anything."
I throw a pretty good kid's birthday party. I had a 4.0 in grad school, but I dropped out when little E came along, so, that was sort of a bust. I'm crafty. I'm a good cook, and have catered weddings by myself (and everything went well (my mom owned restaurants so I have a bit of a base )). My biggest sources of pride are my husband & babies, so not really my own accomplishments.
I'm really good at figuring out what songs are based on a 2-3 second clip. Useless talent. I also make some killer brandy slush. And I kick-ass at Wheel of Fortune.
I make great drinks and I can throw one helluva party! I love to entertain. My coworkers always task me with planning our food and drinks when we travel. Basically, I kick ass at having a good time & making sure others do the same. You will always be laughing, fully fed and boozed, when I'm around.

We used to play this as a drinking game in college.

Can I just say that I am SO. EXCITED. to meet you in October? I share your useless talents (minus brandy slush making). We can be awesome together with our useless talents!
I'm good at memorizing crap. I know all of the world capitals since I was bored at work one day and deciding to memorize them. (I did this with the flags as well)
I'm a pretty decent writer. I fantasize about quitting my job to do freelance writing.
I also love to write. My little blog serves as the main outlet, but I occasionally get to do some freelance or just straight volunteer stuff. Writing a book is definitely a life goal, but it might be awhile.
I'm decent at plenty of things, but not a master at too many.
Im a tremendously embarrassing math nerd and analytical thinker. I see everything in numbers.
I know a lot about otc drugs (bc of work, but im always surprised how little normal people know, even if they think they know). Thats not really a talent.

I'm really good at doing math especially calculating pace while running.
In school I generally didn't have to try hard and most of my math classes came easy to me. I passed all 4 sections of the CPA exam within 6 months on the first try.

My family will not play Scattergories card #5 with me because it has "drugs/medicines" on it. I just "go to the shelf" in my head and I can think of like 30 of them
