I didn't go to prom. Rather, we went to watch Star Wars in the theater followed by a classy meal at Taco Bell... to get the Star Wars toys in the kids meal.

May, 1990. I remember buying MC Hammer's cassette tape right before dinner.
I think I had yet to discover eyeliner. Check out the mullet on my boy Shannon. Man, we were gonna get married, and no one could stop us! NOBODY knew what it felt like to be in love like WE did. I ended up dumping him one month after this photo, when I finally got tired of him smacking me around.
Sometimes I wish I could reach back in time and shake my 17-year old self.

Yeah.
Lol. We went to prom but ditched it pretty early b/c it sucked and instead went and watched star wars in the theater. In prom gear
I'm on the right. This was taken on the fancy couch in the women's bathroom at the ballroom where we had the event. I remember in our prom planning meeting, I wanted yellow as one of our colors for some reason. Probably because the other choice was "light pink, dark pink and white," and I am not a fan of pink. The pink choice won. I said, "eff it, I'm getting a yellow prom dress." When I went to buy one, I tried on this one, and also a pink dress that was more princessy with a full skirt and lace and spaghetti straps. It was a nice dress, but I was like "the yellow one!" I've tried to find a better pic, but I don't think I have one online/the computer. It had slits up both sides, a halter neckline, and some beading around the waist.
Senior prom was May 5, 2000, which was one of those dates where the world was predicted to end.
