So B had his last day of preschool today. He was only in class from the beginning of April, and will be with this same teacher and aide next year. I am not Facebook friends with either of them, but have seen their pages. I was thinking about sending each of them a message thanking them for helping Blake this year. Is that creepy and weird since I am not fb friends with them, or do you think they would appreciate it? I saw them and talked to them every day at pickup and drop off since I've been on maternity leave.
I think a true heartfelt thank you is awesome. Are they still working all summer it is it closed? I'd probably mail a thank you note or fb message if they are off for summer
I wouldn't consider a Facebook to be overly weird. Some teachers don't check work email at all during the summer, so a FB message would be fairly appropriate.
Trying to friend them on Facebook= weird to me. I never accept parents as friends. Sending a thank you through Facebook messenger= not as weird.
Yeah, I wasn't going to try to friend them because I figure that is too personal.
Not as as weird means still weird huh? Lol. This is why I was hesitating. It means that I creepily searched for them on fb which is why I am questioning it.
Maybe be I should just let it go? I told them both thank you in a rush today because we had their program and it was chaos all around.

They are off all summer. So if I mailed, I'm not sure if it would get to them before fall
i mean we we would discuss Blake at every pickup for 5-10min and the day and sometimes other things, but it's not like we're really friends or anything.

I am pretty easy to find on Facebook because I have a very unique last name. If a parent wanted to thank me and had no other way and sought me out on Facebook I wouldn't think it was weird. But it is a slightly different situation for me because all parents have my work email address and I check it all the time.
I wouldn't Facebook message. I find the messages slightly unsettling (friend requests much more so, though) and I often block. If you sent a nice message I probably wouldn't block you but I also probably wouldn't reply.
