My H works late (midnight-ish) 3-4 times a week and I've really become okay with doing everything on those days. My kids don't overwhelm me as much as they used to. I can even- gasp!- take them both to the playground without having an anxiety attack.
My husband eats green beans and likes them! He told me he had NEVER tried them before because they looked and smelled so gross out of the can. Pull them out of the garden and it's a whole different story. It works on husbands in addition to children
I took C to music class tonight and she sat on my lap the whole time (she's not much of a cuddler usually). I've only been taking her for the last month or two (her nanny always took her while I was working late), and the stress at home has been rough (our house is STILL not finished so we've been camping out in less than half of it) and naturally, she's been acting out a lot lately. I'm pregnant and tired and grouchy and feel like a shit parent most days. At the end of class I thanked her for a fun time and cuddles, and she hugged me and said "I love music with you mama". Sounds dumb, but it pretty much made my month.

I negotiated a new compensation structure at work and proactively protected myself from taking some major losses over the next few years and pushed to have extra time with the girls during summer.
I really couldn't think of anything haha. I made dinner and cleaned a little. Took the girls to Costco... I haven't been able to do much of anything because I feel like crap, so I'm proud of regular things.

My H challenged me this morning to run 2 miles in a faster time than he did (we just started using the treadmill again yesterday). His time this morning was 19:47. I just did it in 19:23. Not a great time, but I kicked his ass!
Also, I ran 4 miles total today. I've never run that far, ever. Walked, sure. But I RAN it. Total time 40:26. I'm super proud! Now to work on shaving off the minutes...
