Ugh, someone in my apartment building stole a package I had delivered. It was just clothing but still, $70 worth of stuff is just gone. WTF is wrong with people? I want to scream!
So glad it's Friday, even though it was a short work week it still felt long! I was all over campus yesterday for orientation and my legs are killing me today - so out of shape But the weather was gorgeous so I didn't mind it at the time!
You've got to be shitting me. This is the second time in 2 weeks that Starbucks has given me a hot chocolate instead of a mocha. WTF? Does no one there know how to make a fucking mocha? /rage
And our hot water heater isn't functioning properly after a pipe sprung a leak in our basement yesterday and I am just crossing everything imaginable we don't need a whole new one.
Bright spot: Today is my last day of work for 2.5 months!!!
Bummer on the mocha. I might have missed it, but are you doing anything special with your 2.5 months off?
Nothing super special (I'm a teacher). We do have one vacation planned, a wedding that will be used as a small second vacay and lots of house projects.

That sucks. Did you buy it on a credit card? I know my CC has automatic insurance for stuff like that happening within 90 days of purchase. Check with your credit card company. Or even the company that sent it - I've had something stolen once and the company sent me a new item free of charge.
Uh... well we got the leak in our wall fixed after 6 hours of work and tear worthy amount of money and were next contemplating getting a new hot water heater because ours is a ticking time bomb (thanks seller for outright lying to us about how old it is /rage). AND then our cat just starts puking and peeing from stress of saws and drills for six hours while she was locked in a hot room (the only area away from saws/drills). So vet visit for her today as she's still not keeping food or water down. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

PDQ: An atty went batty on me today and chased me down the court hallway. The deputy had to walk me to my car. I am not sure why but I was terribly embarrassed
I sent H and email with a groupon for laser hair removal and said "I want to do this." He emailed me back this long response about how we cant afford it right now. Then he almost immediately emailed me back and said "Now that I sent this letter, I'm guessing you sent this simply for the fact you wanted me to know at some point you wanted to do this." I just replied, "Yeah dude, I didn't mean right this minute."
LOL, its cracking me up.
This happens all the time with my H. I'll say something like "when we re-do the bathroom, I think I'd like something like XYZ" and he'll launch into a very detailed explanation for why we cannot afford to re-do the bathroom. Cool yo' jets.

It is not even 11 a.m. on the first day of summer vacation and I have already broken up three spats. OMG, I am going to lose my mind this summer, aren't I?
On the plus side, I got to sleep in an extra 20 minutes and didn't have to get anyone ready for school or pack lunches.
The admin on my hall made a cake for my boss's bday and brought it in yesterday. She left a piece in the fridge for me because I said knowing there would be cake made my Thursday.
The piece she left for me was huge. I ate half of and had to stop but I still feel sick. I feel like a child. No control.
Plus, I don't know if you guys remember the issue I had with the foundation in that house right after I got divorced and I had to have the entire living room, dining room, and entry way floors torn out and repoured.....well, I'm pretty sure the foundation is cracking again.
Double check with the company that did the work and see if they had a warranty.
I've been nice enough to pick up lunches for my office for 10 years. Finally with bossman's daughter and nephew working here, it has become too much because sometimes they don't pay me back. That shit adds up. I lose at least $60 a week from them not paying. I finally told his daughter I needed her to pay me back. She said sure. She then texted the cousin that he needed to pay me back as well. He just stormed in, told me to go to another office and asked me how much he owed me because he doesn't like people thinking he doesn't pay back his debts. I've honestly lost count because I've been doing for so long. But the way he said it was so assholish. I started crying. The accountant and bossman's daughter were in shock. They said he totally handled it the wrong way. Bossman's daughter said she never expected him togo off like that. I guess it's expected from a fucking 19 year old. I was so fucking pissed that I finally just told him that I was doing him a fucking favor and from here on out if he doens't want to have to owe a fucking debt to go pick up his own god damn lunch. Little shithead. I'm so pissed I'm shaking.

I told h that if the foundation is cracked when we pull the carpet up, we are selling that pile of shit. I don't want to deal with that issue again. It was a nightmare the first time around, I can't even imagine how it will be the second time around.
I'm done. I cannot handle any more. No more deaths, no more shit luck with this stupid house, no more sick kids. I'm done.
I'm not sure where you're at but here in Texas foundation issues are very common. Almost all of the companies have lifetime warranties on their work which makes sense because around here, once you have foundation issues in your home you'll probably need them to keep come back and readjust over and over. That's what I've been told by several people that have had their foundation worked on. I'd definitely see if they have a warranty.
We have to drive 7 hours to go to H's cousin's graduation this weekend. I don't want to. The cousin and his younger brother were our ringbearers (9 years ago!) so H feels obligated. I just want to stay home and do nothing or next to nothing. I'll be in the car for 14 hours out of the next 48.
Just found out we are losing another dr at our pedi practice. The turnover rate has been so high lately - 5 or 6 pedis in the last 3 years - and the speculation is that one of the heads of the practice is driving them all out. I have one favorite dr left and if she leaves, I'm out of there.

Yes, once we pull the carpet up to replace it, I already have plans to have the company that did the repair work the first time come check it out. He's actually an old friend of my dad's so I'm sure he will help in any way he can. Part of the problem is that it's a twin home and the issue spreads to the house attached to ours. We made the owners aware of the issue last time and they have no inclination to do anything about their side. So until that gets fixed, we will probably be dealing with it forever if we decide to keep the house.
I'm so angry. My dogs chemo meds have to be mailed to us from a compound pharmacy. There was a delay with processing the prescription and now the package is lost in the mail. Fuck USPS. I can't get a live person on the phone, it just let's me track it so they can tell me repeatedly that it left Detroit 2 days ago. It's an hour away! Is someone WALKING it to Toledo? The pharmacy said they can't help me. I left a message with the vets office asking for help.
She isn't doing well. She NEEDS her meds. I knew it. I had a feeling something would go wrong and I wanted to ask them to FedEx it but i didn't and I should have.
