Sleep all night. Who can get things done without any sleep?
As a crunchy AP mom, I want to point out all night sleep in infants isn't common and shouldn't be expected. But if your baby actually does it? Awesome.
Sleep in in the top 3 reasons I'm sticking on one kid.

No, no, people. Night wakeups aren't terrible because no one else is awake to bug you. You get to attend to the baby, feed them and then put them back to sleep. (This is assumming you don't mean the kind of thing where they wake up and are up for hours and hours, right? Meaning my 4 year old and 2 year old are asleep during this, at least. During the day, if I have a wide-awake grouchy infant, I also have 2 other kids to deal with. Ha!
And this is coming from someone whose kids never slept through the night until after their first birthday, at least.

I remember when I came back to work and DS was only waking up twice a night. My boss says, "Oh twice a night, that's not bad." F U! You try not getting more than three hours of sleep in a row ever!
when i was on mat leave, i didn't care about getting up 100x a night for some reason. my spirit really crumbled on days when i didn't get even a solid hour to myself to zone out on tv and enjoy my coffee.
so, i my be alone here, but for sure option #2.
My me time is pretty important to me too. The other day the baby would not nap, finally by 8pm I had the baby settled and calmed. I left the room for 2 seconds, h comes in and starts blowing raspberries on the baby's feet. I could have fucking killed him. I threw the blanket at him and told him to deal with the baby now.
This is the easiest poll I've ever taken. Less a few child-free nights here and there, I have not had an undisturbed night of sleep in almost 18 months. No question.
I never got sleep when David was a baby because even though he'd wake, eat and go right back to sleep, I would psych myself out about HAVING to sleep when the baby slept so much that I could not sleep and ended up having insomnia most nights. I did most of my sleeping during the day when I would just crash and burn.
all night. My boys (5 and 3 yo now) are still terrible sleepers. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a kid that consistently STTN. I don't care what happens during the day. Infant- strap 'em on my back, use the stroller, sound machine, whatever.
