I have these small clear glass terrariums where I'll be placing fake plants. I read on some craftsy blog that using coffee grounds looks better than using real dirt. So I bought a giant tub of coffee and have been making the coffee (to take out the coffee smell) and laying out the grounds to dry.
If I drink this coffee, I'll probably die, right? My ratio so far has been 1 cup of grounds to 10-12 cups of coffee. Or is that like an espresso?
I haven't had any to drink, but maybe I should save some for this afternoon when I'm tired and make an iced coffee.
Wait...what? Is this even a good idea? Won't the coffee get moldy eventually? I mean, it is food. I don't get going to this amount of effort for what has to be a tiny difference. Just use dirt! I promise you dirt will look like dirt.
To answer your question about drinking the coffee, it's fine. I use 1.5 tablespoons per cup for my daily coffee, so your coffee is just a little stronger than I normally take it. It is stronger than average, though, and will make great iced coffee or iced lattes, but it won't come anywhere close to killing you or even harming you.
