I have been wide awake since 5. FIVE. Everyone else just woke up. I'm hoping to sneak in a little nap before H goes to work at noon.
My mom is coming over after E's nap. But only after, because 'why would I come over while he's napping. I wouldn't get to see him.' Thanks mom lol. She said we'd do something 'fun' which I'm hoping means shopping. But just getting out of the house and having someone else help corral hurricane Ethan would be just as nice.

Lucy has dance and then a cheer clinic today (and the clinic is tomorrow too, what?!) so I have some time to myself. DH is going to a beer tasting/BBQ with his college friends, too. ALONE TIME! I want, but don't really NEED, to get a pedi. I have thank you cards to write as well. I will probably lay on my bed like a beached whale though. Heh
I have to get painting done, normal house chores, and I want to read the rest of Death of Salesman and move on to something else. I am going to take the girls out this morning to the park or beach.
H is out of town, so it's just me and the kiddos until tomorrow morning.
C has a birthday party to go to this morning - one of those places in the mall where they put glitter and nail polish and crap on little girls. Ugh. So, we'll do that, then home for naps. If I get them both to sleep this afternoon, I might start working on an embroidery project. I want to monogram some cloth napkins for our dining room.
The cat was just making horking sounds, so I ran over to try and catch her before she barfed on the carpet/bed/my shoes, just in time to see her vomit directly into the tub. I can live with that! Good cat!
I'd like to hear more about your shade garden. We have very large trees around our house and I can't get anything to grow. The one thing I've managed - hostas - the deer eat.

Just got the baby back to sleep, now I am making the dinner menu for the week. The grocery shopping, laundry, and then maybe a walk to the park or something.
Weekends are a little less exciting with a two week old, I'm learning.
We're headed to a birthday party in a bit. It's 2.5-3 hours away... BUT these are friends (for their son's 1st) who just moved from across the country back to our general region of the country. So we've only seen them 3x in the past 4 yrs. It will be great to see their parents & other friends that we haven't seen since their wedding. And of course the birthday boy & the hosts!! I'm just trying to prepare myself for having to share the attention/ adorable baby holding time But uh- man, am I glad H is doing all the driving, as I plan to catch up on sleep!!
Work until four, then probably cleaning DS's room so SIL can move in next weekend (for six weeks). We still need to get his bathroom in working order, and get a bunch of stuff into storage, but I started working on it yesterday, and that's always the hardest part to me.
My husband went fishing this morning and I just spoke with him and they just left the dock. It takes at least 20 minutes to get from our slip to the channel and another few minutes to the ocean, which means he's not going to home until later than I hoped. He is obsessive about cleaning the boat and I'm sure he spent much more time than was necessary cleaning it before leaving the dock.
And I've got to take all 3 kids for their dental check ups, take the older two to be measured for their uniforms, stop at the library and check out the place where we think my son wants to have his birthday party. I also want to go to the pool for a little bit.
But first I am chasing my 3 year old, not yet potty trained son around the house trying to get a urine sample for the pediatrician.
Sears will be here any minute to look at our water heater. Everyone cross your fingers and toes that it's a quick/easy fix and does not involve us having to get a whole new heater.
I am escaping soon to go get my nails done. Hopefully a b-ball game tonight if there's no rain.
I'm picking up a friend in a few hours and headed to San Diego for a race expo. We plan to stay the night then up super early for Rock n Roll SD half tomorrow.
I'm cuddling with my puppy. I'm trying not to go stir crazy but it's day 5 of not being able to walk. I decided I'm going to teach myself how to knit. I bought Stitch and Bitch and then I'll order some knitting supplies. What else can I do while I'm recovering?
I drank too much last night and have a wine hangover. My DD woke up before 7:00 and I came downstairs to a filthy kitchen. I guess H and I decided last night we were too tired and buzzed to clean it, lol. Blah, rough start to the day.

My H is at work today so its ds and I today. We are grilling some steaks tonight and watching fireworks, the lake has opened a public beach and they are having a grand opening which includes fireworks. .
I woke up hearing my ds say "I see you". Over the monitor.
I need to call the self storage place up the street and see if we can't get a unit and start moving my classroom stuff into it today. We also need to hit Goodwill with the latest round of donations, and I want to go to the consignment store to see if they'd be interested in a big bag of professional clothes. We also need to start decluttering DS1's room, which is going to be a PITA because it means storing a lot of his "treasures."
Once all of that is out of the way I think we'll either head to a big Greek food festival or invite some friends over for a barbecue.
I have a few of these red shrubs. I have no idea what they're called (helpful!) but they're very prickly so deer or rabbits won't eat them. They are in shade all day. Those little flowers are perrienals and are shade flowers and I also have no idea what they are.
Heading to the zoo this morning with A. We do a quick trip(under 2 hours) since we live so close. Probably going to run to mall to look for a few summer pieces for me (Old Navy has some dresses on sale). Tonight we have the last of graduation parties. It is a crazy one with 6 students throwing a party together and the parents have gone overboard with it. Should be interesting to see three bounce houses, hamster ball faces, sand volleyball, etc.
Oh you have got to be kidding me. It was just a part that is broken on the hot water heater. But it will be 7 days before they can get it in, so one week without hot water.

FI left for Vegas super early this morning to go play in a poker tournament today. I'm not looking forward to solo parenting this weekend. 2 kids woke up colds.
The tea I drank is working, I think. It's definitely detox me :/ I really want to go o Nodstrom and try on a dress I like but doing that with 3 small kids sounds like torture.
Supposed to be going to a local aviation days event to look at planes and see an airshow. I'm doing it with my sister and haven't heard from her yet. My daughter is still fast asleep.
I have nothing to do today. I am so very happy about this. I am drinking coffee in bed and DH got up and started to make the bed around me. Um, no. He's in the kitchen now making himself breakfast. DD got her driver's license yesterday and will be taking herself to a party for a school club today. It's just down the road but I will worry the whole time.
