How do you not notice your dog isn't there when you get home? Wtf?
It was 1am, I had been out for drinks and went straight to bed. Thanks for pointing it out, I haven't been blaming myself and upset about it for hours.
does he not come to greet you like every dog I've ever encountered?

Don't respond to this anymore. You don't need such ignorance. You'll find Friendly soon! Focus on him.

I hope you find him soon. I think you are doing everything you can right now. Hopefully someone found him and picked him up and will either call the shelters or see your posts/flyers.
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I think you need to look in your truth mirror tots. You are not right here and are unnecessarily cruel. Greyhounds are often like throw rugs. They dont run up like idiots. At 1 am i would assume he was sleeping and/or laying there.
@stpete - so much love and prayers to you and friendly. I hope he comes home soon.

100 pound throw rugs? you are saying you wouldn't notice where your dog is? Come the fuck on. Lazy dog or not, wouldn't you check to make sure he was in before you lock the door you left open for him? (Which is also a little wtf worthy)
contact the greyhound rescue, so they know to keep a lookout.
I did that this morning. I just did the nextdoor thing and when the flyers are done printing I am going to hit the nearby dog parks. I figure other owners may be more likely to keep an eye out and spend time walking around the area already.
I don't know what tots wants here. Are you looking to blame me? Okay, it's my fault. Are you looking to be hurtful- doesn't matter much I'm already far more hurt over my missing best friend that anything you can say. Are you insinuating I'm lying about something? Not sure what that what I'm lying about or what the point would be.
Just ignore her, she isn't worth your time or worry here.

100 pound throw rugs? yes. this is why i love them b/c they are excellent cuddle buddies. it is also why Friendly makes such an excellent therapy dog. B/c you can take him to a sr ctr or hospital and tell him to lay there and he will gladly comply b/c his action is throw rug mode.
No. I would just assume he was where he would be. Leaving a door open so he could go potty is wtf worthy?
I'm going to go and just assume you are a way better person than me b.c I run pretty much on autopilot for mundane life tasks and will miss exits, etc. when I am deviating from my normal routine.
thinkofthesoldiers - I truly hope you never have anything happen to you in life that is the result of an unintentional minor misstep. I do not think you could handle it. And G-d forbid something bad did happen I sincerely hope that people would show you more compassion than you show on here.
I'm so sorry. This happened to us with our last dog and it was horrible. She did turn up a few days later and was fine. I hope he finds his way home soon. ((@stpete))
