I'm technically still an intern for a month, but I just walked out of the hospital at the end of the last day of my last and hardest rotation before I move into the OR next month. It's one year to the day since I graduated. I've been getting up at 2:30 am and working 90+ hour weeks this month. I actually kind of loved it, but it's such a huge milestone to be done as well as done with the last 11 months. Anesthesia (and more running!) starts tomorrow. It feels amazing.
I was going to run this evening but I'm probably just going to eat and drink - I get to sleep in til 6:30 tomorrow.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
You've made it!! You've done so much this year it's simply amazing. Hope this rotation is great. If you care to share, what will be your specialty? (Maybe you've shared before but I do not remember.)

Anesthesiology. So someday hopefully this will all be worth it.
