Umm my answer? I just buy more towels and clothes so that I only have to do laundry once a week or every other week (other than CD which are every other day).
ETA: Eclaires we are of one mind. Who wants to do laundry when you can just buy more clothes?!
We're working on organizing our laundry room and making it more usable to help.
I read this as your laundry room needing organization to make it more useable to THE help. Like your housekeeper needed more folding space or whatever.
RE: the more clothes thing - there is some truth to that. I know you can't just leave the pee soaked items in the bin that long but so long as everyone as enough of everything else to make through until a designated wash day it could help with your daily routine.

I need a housekeeper.
lol, my housekeeper is very demanding. She's all bossing me around and shit w/r/t organization and wants her job to be easier.
And by housekeeper, I mean me. I seriously think that the two things I would do immediately if I was a gazillionaire (and my husband wasn't in charge of finances) would be to build my dream house w/ all the furniture/decor/etc. I wanted (I am always in remodeling and decor hell - it never ends) and hire a housekeeper to live with me. Maybe two.

I only fold pants, shorts, and towels. Everything else gets hung up and pjs/underwear are just thrown in drawers. I hate folding shit. When I wash our bedding, I just put them back on our bed when I'm done. I hardly ever use the extra bedding sets. DH is pretty good about helping put our clothes away. He watches tv while he does it and I usually put DD's clothes away and do dishes. He wants to put a tv in the kitchen, but I drew the line there.

I have a friend that always used to joke about being my live-in housekeeper. We decided his official title would be majordomo and his duties woudl involve answering my phone, corralling my futurekids, folding my laundry, vacuuming, starting dinner and running errands.
And for that he could live with me with free room and board and a clothing allowance. We figured that wouldn't be a full-time job so he could do something else on the side for fun money.
But then it turned out MH can't stand him, andplusalso he went to tech school and became a welder and is now a real grownup instead of the peter pan wannabe I knew when I was 20. :-( I hate when that happens.

DH and I share the actual gathering of clothes and placing/switching them in the w/d. I fold on the couch and watch the Daily Show/Colbert whilst my husband scratches my back. I have no idea how this became the routine, but I'm not complaining!!
My clothes, however, never seem to make it to my dressers. They live on a chair until I wear them.
I'm caught up, but it's a lot of effort. If you don't live in high humidity you could start a load before you go to bed. Some of the new washers have the delay start, which can help if you're worried about the wet laundry sitting there for a long time. Then in the morning it's easy to throw it in the dryer and start the next load. I'm a SAHM so I usually can accomplish 2 loads pretty easily by the time we leave for the day. Then I sort and put away during nap time.
I don't really fold much, only hang the work shirts/pants, Ad most of my clean laundry lives on top of my dresser. I also do loads by owner instead of lights/darks (never had anything bleed knock on wood). So all my stuff goes in together, baby is another load, husband, CDs obviously, towels, etc so I don't have to sort if I'm behind, just toss in the appropriate area.
I have a huge rolling laundry cart that I lug to the basement every ten days or so to do laundry. Then it usually stays in the basket until I wear it. I only put away clothes when I'm feeling ambitious or it's something that may get wrinkled.
It can't be more wrinkly than it currently gets sitting in the hamper waiting to be put away. DH doesn't even go to his drawers to look for clothes anymore. He heads straight to the dining room
Don't feel bad, H usually pulls his out of the dryer.
I SAH and my H works craptons and he does his own damn laundry. Wife of the year, right here
