What happened to the mom blogger whose daughter passed away?

I don't think anything new had happened. As far as the police are concerned, the case is closed. The mom is trying to fund a private investigation.

Yeah, the mom was in some pretty serious denial. It was super sad, but she was totally going off the deep end.

Aw man, I was sort of hoping that something new has come about, if only because the mother was so overwhelmed with pain about her daughter, it seemed.

I was so obsessed with that blog. I read it daily and then after a few things started to seem weird, I did some sleuthing and found that people just thought she was insane. After that, the more I read, the more insane she seemed. I feel so sorry for her that her daughter died, but she was clearly going insane with grief by the time I stopped reading.
