I got married in Stanwood, but I've been to several weddings in Seattle: The Canal in Ballard, it was an indoors wedding in October. The Edgewater, there are several spaces available. The wedding I attended had mainly indoor space, with a lil' outdoor area which was nice. The Rainier Club, an indoor reception in July. Within Sodo, mostly indoors, but there was a nice patio/deck upstairs.
And others, but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.
We got married at Broadmoor, but outside. They do have an indoor area. We are going to an event at Blue Ribbon Cooking School and it looks great as well. We also looked Shilshole Bay Beach club and almost booked there,
OOOOHI I loved the aquarium but my H didn't. You can have an awesome wedding there.
Really small wedding (like, 80 was a tight fit for sit down eating) - Sunset Hill Community Center. It's an old dance hall and really darling inside.
How did you end up there? That is our local tiny community center, and where we have family movie nights (downstairs) and some school dances (upstairs). I LOVE Sunset Hill CC.

I don't quite remember, but I think I came across it when I started attending WW before the wedding The upstairs is *darling* and fit our afternoon tea party just fine!
Other suggestions: Arctic Club and Within Sodo are my other recommendations. HD's sister got married at Pickering Barn in Issaquah and they have indoor and outdoor options.
sotally tober - How was Monte Cristo Ballroom? The idea of the all inclusive was awesome, and the venue is goregous. However, we never made it to Everett to tour and do the sample menu thing. My girlfriend went on the tour there and was sold on it, until one of the staff members came out and tried to hard sell, did you experience that at all?

My issue with them was not WR but I went in for an interview and the woman made me wait around for 30+ minutes.. i was pissed.
I got married in Sumner, so not really close to the Seattle area. But I know a handful of people who have gotten married at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah. Its pretty nice once done up and not far.

I didn't have any issues with them doing that. They were actually amazing to work with. My wedding day disaster was that my alterations place forgot to put the back of my dress in to cover my skin because they changed it to a corset back...the venue was trying to do everything they could to make it better. It was really nice of them.
They definitely go out of their way to make you feel special on your big day. I had someone waiting on me hand and foot, which is totally not how I am, but it was nice to not have to worry about anything. They've changed a lot of the all-inclusive stuff since I've had my wedding, some of it I think for the better. And, I like that you can easily adjust anything you don't want that they have. We didn't go with their cake vendor, but they gave us a credit to choose our own cake vendor.
They often have specials that they run - one of which ended up being our rehearsal dinner. I nearly had a meltdown when they said it was scheduled and then a few months later I found out it was not actually scheduled. They did make it right and everything turned out fine. They offered a deal where if I wrote a review for them they would credit the entire cost of the RD for me...it was great.
I also think to keep costs down through their venue, beer and wine is the best way to go in terms of the bar service. The price difference to switch to full bar was quite a bit.
We still have people telling us our wedding was the best they've been to and that the food was so amazing. We did a plated meal and it was nice that people didn't have to choose their selection months in advance, but could do it right on the spot at the wedding.
Sorry - this ended up being longer than I intended

This is great info. It's great to hear that someone had a good experience there.
Oh, my friends got married at DeLille. It was gorgeous. The only caveat is if you book a wedding there you have to use their wine (which well, it's so delicious anyway. XD).
I'm really hoping to make it back for their wedding, so I definitely told her to check out the wineries

I got married in March '04, and we used the Lake Union Cafe. It was perfect for a ceremony and reception. Great people (Victoria & Dan) and the food was stellar. It's a beautiful, Art Deco-y place in the Eastlake neighborhood.
