I wondered where it was too. I kept planning to start it and then getting caught by something else. dorothyinAus we miss you!
I'm reading another Lady Emily mystery, Behind the Shattered Glass by Tasha Alexander. Pretty good so far.
QOTW: to wear or in the summer air? The smell of the ocean is pretty much the best thing ever. I love the pool smells too, and campfires and grills cooking.

Aww, thanks! I was really busy yesterday and honestly forgot it was Friday.
I'm reading The Grave Gourmet by Alexander Campion, which I am enjoying, despite all the bad reviews, so maybe I haven't gotten to the bad parts yet.
QOTW: That smell of rain -- there is a distinct fragrance of coming rain, and a different distinct fragrance just after the rain has finished. Those are actually two of my favorite scents ever.

I'm just so excited that people actually responded when I started it!

I just finished The Giver. I am moving soon so reading may be slow for a while. I still need to finish The Goldfinch. I was really getting into it when I forgot to renew at the library and now have to wait to get it off the wait list.
QOTW: I love the scent of cotton from BBW. It is so clean and fresh.

Hi guys! I'm gonna jump in too because there can't be enough book discussions in my life.
I'm reading Firefly Lane. I'm really enjoying it but it's sort of a slow burn type of book. It's really weird because it's taking me a long time to read it but I am loving it.
My favorite summer scent is probably beer. I drink a lot more beer in the summer.
I'm reading The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. I am enjoying so far but not burning through it. I have a stack of books that came through the holds at the library and I can't seem to make much progress.
I love the smell of pines in the warm sun. Always reminds me of camping.
I just finished Forever Liesl by Charmian Carr. Absolutely loved it- but I'm a huge The Sound of Music fan. It was heartwarming without being sickeningly so, and thought it was a good mix of the author's personal experience/life/memoir and behind the scenes info on the movie.
I'm currently reading Rise and Shine by Anna Quindlen. I'm finding it hard to put down. I become so engrossed by everything I read by this author. I also read her Good Dog Stay while on vacation, which was a tearjerker for me as a dog lover.
QOTW: so many things but I'd have to say it's a tie between fresh cut grass and anything cooking on the grill
I'm reading "The Signature of All Things" by Elizabeth Gilbert. It is a historical fiction set in Philly in the 1800s. I have about 3 hours left on it (per my Kindle) and so far I am really enjoying it. I must have heard about it from here because there's no way I would pick up a book, even historical fiction, that has to do with botany. I do like the book though and feel so bad for the main character.
I'm reading to A Dance with Dragons (finally! already had things spoiled so I figured I had to just do it instead of waiting until book 6 is announced).
I'm listening to Mr. Mercedes. Apparently I've been on quite the SK kick this year.
