We were having some thunder storms yesterday and they really picked up on my drive home, but by the time I was off the highway, the rain ended even though there was sill close lightening. I pull into my driveway, still calm and open the door and get out. As soon as I am out of my car, the wind picks up like something fierce and I hear a loud CRACK. I look over and watch a tree falling to my house. I froze for a split second and had to run back to my car because debris was flying all around me and I thought I'd get hit with all the branches. Plus I had no idea if my bedroom was going to cave in where the tree hit! I sat in my car for maybe 3 seconds before it was over. I ran back inside to get my kitties safe, even though they were fine. THANKFULLY the tree didn't actually hit the house. It landed just in front of it. The last tree branch is just brushing/resting on the foundation. It is also my neighbors tree, so J and I are not responsible for removing it. He's a nice guy and knows people that will come and remove it today. It's nice cherry wood, so whomever takes it away will have some nice wood.
Turns out, the town I live in in RI had a funnel cloud pass through which caused all the havoc.
BUT!
J's story trumps mine. He was working outdoors yesterday in tall grass and had to keep going inside/under cover from the lightening. He went to use the bathroom and had a tick imbedded on the very tip of his penis!!! He had to burn the fucker off but it wouldn't come out, so he had to KEEP doing it. Finally it backed out enough where he could pluck it off. Poor guy has a scab on his tip now. :-#
Here are some pictures of the house/tree. I won't share pictures of J's penis

Gah! Glad the tree didn't actually hit the house! And OMG, burning a tick off his penis--just reading that made me feel faint! But on the lighter side, Tick Dick seems like a nice nickname. :-P
