The last time I did this was about three years ago so I'm rusty on the details so I could use some help. I think I remember that the lightening and darkening of the line in the OPK being a possible indication of Ovulation. Is this right?
I've had fertile CM but all the OPKs I've taken are not as dark as the test line but they got darker and are now lighter. Could I have just missed it? I test twice a day first thing in the morning and some point in the evening when I remember. TIA
Are you using Wondfos? What day of the cycle is this? My tests are kind of all over the place until I do actually ovulate, and then the two lines are the same color. I guess it is also possible you could've missed it if you have a short surge and didn't test in that time frame? But it's also possible you just didn't ovulate yet.

Yes Wondfos! I meant to mention that in the OP. I'm on CD 15 and got a positive this morning so this is all a moo point I guess!
Anyways I thought I recalled ladies on here lining up their Wondfos and showing them darken leading up to O. This is my first cycle using the OPKs so I'm just excited I got a positive. That means something is at least working right?!
When I was using OPK's I used wondfos starting on cd10. As they got darker and I knew I was getting close to expected O day, I would also use the CBE to confirm a positive.
But to answer your question, the test line will be as dark as the control line when you get a positive.
