Also, my neighborhood is going to be NUTS tonight! I remember how it was when gay marriage was first legalized in our state and after such a long fight I can imagine it being an even bigger celebration this time.

I got teary and I was talking to my boss and his husband (coworker). They got married last year and they both go it's official we are really married.

I have two friends who had a ceremony in GA, but then decided to take the time/money to be legally married in Chicago.

And now their marriage is legal EVERYWHERE!!!

An old school friend posted on FB about how sick she is off all the negativity that is appearing on her FB feed.

I am like, all I am seeing is nothing but joy and happiness. I think she needs to re-evaluate some of her friendships.

I have nothing but happiness everywhere. I work right next to what everyone lovingly calls the corner of gay and gay. It's where all the fun bars are and the park is nearby. It is already a party over there. My friends are posting on fb. I want to go be outside on a patio drinking and having fun.

I defriended the folks who were against the MN ruling in 2013, so everyone is happy happy happy on FB for me, too.

I have one person on my feed who is going off about what a travesty this decision is, and how this coupled with the allowance of no fault divorces is contributing to the decline of society as a whole. His older brother is crying happy tears and planning a celebration. It's quite the contrast. I'd like to tell the younger brother to fuck off, but his mom has been friends with my mom for so long that they're like an extension of my already large family.

My facebook is full of people who got off early and are now drinking in the sunshine and cocktails. I want to be there too!

My FB feed is very colorful with the rainbows. My favorite was when my lesbian friend saw the ruling and said "{Partner}, we need to go get dresses!"

I haven't unfriended him, but he's hidden from my feed. Now all I see are happy posts. :-) this particular person and his wife have received many side eyes and eye rolls from me over the last year... they have a very different belief system than I do.

One of my local news stations just aired a piece that seemed to give credence to the people complaining that this is really a harbinger of religious persecution. Assholes. They showed a pastor who was saying it's not a constitutional issues, it's a biblical issue. I wanted to reach through the TV to smack him. GRRR! Luckily they also had someone broadcasting live from my neighborhood and talking about how happy everyone is and how much celebration there is. I'm trying to hang onto the love only.
