First, I don't post here too often so I hope I don't offend.
I thought that today would be CD10 so I took an OPK this morning but it was positive which is early. I have been having a super weird period and decided to test. I got a big BFP on a wondfo and a still obvious but lighter positive on an FRER.
i am totally freaked out because I am sure I had a period. (TMI). It started on time and I had even tested that morning and BFN. It was heavy with cramps like usual; definitely heavier than implantation bleeding. It stopped on day 3 and I thought that was it. But on day 5 I had awful sharp cramps and then started bleeding again on day 6, but it quickly changed to brown spotting/ discharge for the last 4 days and is still going.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice? I will be going to the doctor asap this week because I'm worried it may be ectopic based on what I've googled.
Sorry, no experience with this. Perhaps post this on got pregnant to see if anyone there has any experience. If you are concerned with a possible ectopic I would call your doctor asap.
Congrats on the BFP! I actually had this happen last fall. I had tested right before my period started, and got a BFN. Then the next cycle, I was doing OPKs and kept getting positives for like a week straight so I decided to try a HPT test and weirdly enough, it was positive! I don't want to be a debbie downer, but that pregnancy did end up miscarrying around 8 weeks. However, I have a history of a lot of early miscarriages. FWIW, when my mom was pregnant with me way back in the day, she didn't find out until 8 weeks because she thought she had a period the first month. And that pregnancy was all good for her! I hope you can get in with your doctor soon and get it figured out! Good luck!
Thanks everyone for the replies. I just wanted to share an update. I was really worried so I went to the ER on Sunday. They confirmed with a blood test, but also did an ultrasound and said there was nothing there and to expect a miscarriage. My beta was 96.3. I went back for follow-up yesterday and just got a call from my doctor that I'm at 243, so no reason to expect a miscarriage yet. I've had a loss before, so I'm still pretty freaked out by the whole thing but will feel better once we make it over the ultrasound hurtle. Thanks again.
What a rollercoaster! Hope you have a sticky baby. Spotting or bleeding is not completely unusual. Otherwise how would we have the gift of "I didn't know I was pregnant"?
