DD is six, she does dance (tap and ballet) one day a week, and Girl Scouts one day. She wants to try tae kwon do, and we need to get her into swim lessons again, but I really don't want her overloaded either.
She's in 1x a week swimming right now, for 30 minutes.
She's going to start gymnastics in the fall, once she turns 3 and can do the class without me. Its only 1x a week (saturday mornings) for 45 minutes. She'll also do swim lessons 1x a week in the fall. I want her comfortable swimming without being attached to me before we go to hawaii in february, so i'm pushing swimming big time.
She will start golf when she's 4 or 5. We have high hopes of her being awesome at it and getting a full-ride scholarship someday.

DS is 7. He goes to karate twice a week, during the school year he's in boy scouts, which is 1-2 meetings/month, and I just signed him up for fall soccer which will be 1-2 days a week.

2.5yo gymnastics and swimming but we skip the summer
4.5yo we limit to two activities. This year she had skating and dance , then soccer and swimming. In the fall she will do dance and sparks (girl guides).
E is 5. Right now, he's only in soccer. In September, he'll start basketball (for the year) and will be back in swimming (for 2 months). Then, in January he starts ski school. We limit it to no more than 2 activities at a time, preferably one.
O is 3.5 years. He's in nothing right now. He's a wild card and we figured he's best having zero structured activities outside of daycare. He'll be back in swimming in September, though, and will start ski school in January as well

DD1 is 5. She has done swim lessons, bowling, soccer, and t-ball. Swim and bowling overlapped for a few weeks, that was a little crazy because they were both Saturdays. Right now she's in nothing, full-day UPK and t-ball just ended. She'll be in K in the fall and will most likely participate in all of those activities again. Swim lessons are a must.
DD2 is 3 and has only done bowling for 1 season. She is dying to do everything that her sister has done. And she'll be in full-day UPK in the fall.
Our town offers soccer and t-ball for free which is awesome.
My 7 (almost 8) year old does competitive dance, so that's three nights a week, plus extra practices at least every other weekend, sometimes more often. And then she's in piano once a week on Saturday mornings. Right now she's also in 2 weeks of swim lessons every morning. Her school offers clubs that go through the semester, so she's added cheer and drama to her dance schedule as well. And I work in downtown DC, we live about an hour south, and she goes to school 45 minutes from home (in the opposite direction of my office). And my H and I are separated. So, our schedule is hectic, to put it mildly. Sometimes we both long for more down time. I've asked a zillion times if she wants to quit dance, but she loves it and told me to stop asking her. lol. And I add the other things because we both enjoy being active, and I want to expose her to as much as possible. I have an afternoon nanny who gets her from the bus stop and to dance, and most nights I go straight from work, either to dance or one of her activities. We eat on the go A LOT. During the school year, I drive her 45 minutes further south east to school, and then I have another hour and fifteen minutes drive to work. So clearly, I'm just crazy.

My girls are 6 and 8, my son is 15. Our summer schedule: 6 -gymnastics 12 hours/week 4 days 8- gymnastics 20 hours/week 5 days 15- karate 2x week, youth group 2x week The working moms at DD's gym have them in gymnastics camp the other half of the day and lots of people carpool. ETA: We homeschool so our days are pretty flexible. I forgot that during the year we also add ballet and music lessons, but those are in the morning. And gymnastics hours drop off a bit during the school year.
My seven year old will be in piano and boy scouts and rock climbing in the fall. He did boy scouts this past school year and loved it. We tried to have him do art lessons and acting. He hated both.
The girls, I don't know. I may not do classes with them, maybe swimming.
In the past, I had the girls in ballet, gymnastics, and swimming. I think it was money mostly wasted. My mom sanity is actually tested trying to ready them and ferry them around to classes.
