I just can't imagine what would possess someone, particularly someone with serious image problems already, to look at this Republican field and say to themselves, "Yeah, I'm going to jump into that pool."

This!
I suppose it's arguable that the race doesn't have anyone quite like him, ideologically, and he can probably run a decent campaign as "moderate." But he's not an idiot. How is it that he looks at the circus and can't see that nothing good will come from this run?
At this point he has approximately 6 voters who support him. I confess to being surprised he ultimately did this.
Yeah. He just might've been abe to pull this one off if the election had been in 2014. But his ship has sailed.
His sweet spot was about 2-3 years ago. The window has closed for him; he's spent the last two years pissing off everyone. Instead of a "straight-shooter" he comes across as a complete jerk who has no filter.

On the one hand, him winning or becoming VP might help save NJ. On the other hand I feel terrible inflicting him on everyone else. Although if he can just be a figurehead VP and not have anything to actually do that might be a win-win.
Are there any Rs at this level left that HAVEN'T thrown their hat in the ring?
Walker hasn't announced yet. It's coming, though.
Probably next week. If not, the week after. He has to get through the state budget fight and then wait for everyone to get over their 4th of July hangover. (I, however, plan to keep drinking. Right, 2curlydogs?)

*waves whiskey glass around*
Seriously, though, I find his inability to get his budget pushed thru the republican-controlled legislature HIL-AR-I-OUS.

I'll keep drinking in solidarity. Fuck Walker with a rusty poker. I have sincere loathing for him.
Also, another clown? I hope the clown car explodes.
