@ranbowchip do you guys have young 5s? My sil thinks my niece is not ready for K so she is putting her in young 5s this year and she'll go to K the next. Since it is part of the public school system it is free. I've heard people say here at least they are making it harder to repeat K and they really don't like doing it so it's better to wait if you think they're not ready.
I don't think we have something like this. We have a 4K program through the district that he started last fall and just graduated from. This is jump start for kindergarten and it really emphasizes getting ready for kindergarten. I feel like even though he doesn't participate in everything, he is still learning a ton. This summer program ends on the 10th though and then school doesn't start up until September. I'm worried he is going to lose all the progress we make over the next 2 months!
G started preschool again this week and although I love my little bug to pieces, I'm 95% sure he's going to school on Friday even though I'm off. Anything fun is going to be packed because everyone else is off too and I need a day of zero responsibilities.
(katie) - whatever you guys decide will be right for your family. We were firmly OAD until about 4 months ago when we decided to go for it for a limited time. It doesn't look like it's going to work out for us, but I understand the pendulum swing of emotions. Do we, don't we? Either way has tons of positives!!
Oh, oh! It pisses me off so much when people make comments that their kid is so tiny (after seeing my beast) because they are 'always moving' and show me a picture of them in their jumperoo. What in the actual fuck are you implying? My kid is a lazy sloth? He kicks and punches with the best of them and loves his jumperoo.
People really do think this way and it's so odd to me. Rose has always been a beast and super mobile and on the move. In my opinion there is no correlation!
