Oooh! I really liked that when we were looking for Caramini's bed. We eventually went with a queen size, so it wouldn't have worked, but I thought it was beautiful and a really good price.
I never saw it in person, though. I was thinking about the blue!

I have and love the teal. I would say that one is similar to the shine level of our trim paint, which I believe is a semi- gloss. The quality is good. We spent about $3 on hardware to attach it to the bed frame.
@destinationunknown bought it I think! Is it back in stock online??
Yes, and it's on sale! I'm trying to decide if I want to buy it or go ahead with painting an old bedframe that we have already, which is what I was planning to do when I wasn't sure I'd be able to get a Jenny Lind.
Ugh that is so tempting instead of buying the LON one!!

I originally wanted the land of nod one, too. I'm glad I don't have a footboard though because my DD, who is 3, climbs on and hangs on ours all the time. She can't do that to her headboard because it's against the wall. The footboard would also take up more room.
ETA: I bought mine on sale and got the shipping and oversize handling totally free with my red card.
We actually refinished an antique. It looks great but it is A LOT of work. Like, my husbands iphone didn't recognize his fingerprint after it was done because he sanded them off when he was sanding the spindles.
Yikes.
The bed we have isn't a Jenny Lind, although it does have some spindly elements. I have been looking on CL for an antique JL though, so this is good to know! It did sound like a lot of work.
Ideally I'd like both a headboard and footboard, but I'm not sure it's really worth the effort of refinishing a bed myself.
I picked up a Jenny Lind-esque bed frame at a thrift store for $30 and want to refinish it. Stain it a darker color and maybe paint the spindles a fun color for dd's nursery (we plan on having a twin bed and crib in there from the beginning for co-sleeping purposes).
But I'm scared too. My mom is an awesome DIY-er and furniture refinisher and gave up on the Jenny Lind bed she has for DS1 at her house. She said the stain just wasn't coming out well on all the spindles. So she ended up paying someone to do it.
I LOVE the Land of Nod one. It is my dream bed. But it's so expensive. I can't do it.
I wanted to buy the LON one sooooo bad, but couldn't justify the price. I was stalking the shit out of the target one for months, but it was out of stock forever. I ended up buying the PBK Catalina bed which i love.
I feel like I'd feel the same as you. Want the LON so bad but not in the budget right now....cute quilt. Did you buy or make quilt?
The quilt is Laura Ashley "Ainsley." I think part of the reason the headboard feels less cute than the LoN bed is that I bought a 14" tall frame (had trouble finding something shorter) which makes it seem less toddler-like, and as OP mentioned, the bedskirt doesn't have the same effect as the wooden frame.
@tambcat you need to PIP when your done. So you are going to do a headboard and footboard with a wooden handmade rail connecting them? Are you going to cut the footboard down?
