Dh has been applying for jobs for MONTHS. Months. Construction has been so slow, he's been looking at other things.
He he applied at a fabrication shop last week. He stopped in today to check on the status of the application (probably obnoxious, what we've reached that point.), and had an impromptu walk through with the hiring manager. The guy seemed impressed, and told dh to be sure to call in next Monday because he doesn't know if he'll get a chance to move forward on applications Before the holiday.
This is is good, right? good thoughts, good thoughts, good thoughts......
(and selfishly, I am on summer break and about ready to kill him. I cannot get a damn thing done when he is here all the time.)
I would already be planning life around this job. I am the queen of getting hopes up lol, so I am just here to offer good luck, best wishes, job dust, and all of that .

I would think that, if it were a no go, the manager would not have asked him to call next week. It would probably be a "don't call us, we'll call you" response instead, because they are not usually eager to talk to the non-hires again.
