OMG she is upset. There's a reason why it's best to do this with a newborn. She wouldn't stop screaming after and I was barely able to nurse her. She was just screaming for 15 minutes and finally passed out in my arms. Poor girl, I feel so bad.
I'm so sorry Olivia was 3 months and it was similar; I couldn't get her to nurse and she screamed until she fell asleep. It was heartbreaking BUT she was completely fine the next day! I hope C wakes from her nap without any discomfort and she's back to her normal self.

How did she handle the stretches? I feEl like she will just scream the entire time.

They didn't have us do any. I didn't even know that was a thing until I read it on here at some point. However, she only had a slight tongue tie and we didn't have her lip done. I imagine the stretches are going to be rough for both of you. How often do you have to do them?

Stretching does suck but it is so important. I don't think age matters for that. Andrew wailed through stretches at 9 days old. By the end of the three weeks, he was really fighting me on them. We had to do them 8 times a day.

Well this afternoon has been certainly trying. She's slept a lot but is very fussy. I got her to nurse once and that's it. She's bad 2 bottles. Nursing is so hard for her right now I'm going to buy some infant tylenol in a bit to try and ease the pain.
I'm so sorry. If it gives you any comfort, I'd argue it's not that much easier with a newborn! I just finished i's stretches (90 seconds in three sites) and it's MISERABLE! He just screams and has learned to clamp down when I go for the posterior massage (thank goodness he doesn't have teeth though!)

Yeah. Andrew was a major clamper and the osteopath we has been seeing had never seen a newborn so strong.
