I took brewers yeast and fenugreek and it only upped my supply by a very tiny bit. I tried eating oatmeal and doing pretty much everything people suggested. I stopped pumping at 3 weeks because I only got .75-1oz each session. I figured he got a little BM when I've heard it's most important so it wasn't worth the extra time and effort it took to pump so little.

No advice on supplements, but just wanted to chime in to please be kind to yourself this time around. If DS2 does latch, know that even with a perfect fit, it will still likely be painful for the first week or so. It just takes time to toughen everything up before things feel okay. But, definitely get an LC to make sure there are no lip or tongue ties, too.
I really hope you have a bump in supply this time, but even if you don't, I really wish you peace. I think starlily will agree with me that BFing kid #2 was such a less stressful experience. Mostly because I had given myself permission from go to supplement as much as necessary and not beat myself up about it. I hope you can mentally get to (and stay) that same place. Hugs.
If tongue tie is an issue again, I just wanted to tell you I've assisted with many tongue tie clippings and it is really not bad. Takes just seconds, the baby will cry a bit, nurse and they're just fine. Often the mom can feel the difference right away. They never even need to come back for follow up. Easy, I promise. The younger the better.
Laser is another option. (We did laser, but DS was also older- almost 4 months.)
Your milk supply may be drastically different this time, so this may not be something you even need to worry about.
The #1 thing that helped my supply was to eat enough calories. I ate like a teenage boy. Anytime I tried to eat a more respectable amount of food, my supply dropped immediately.
Lots of oatmeal also helped. I just made some bars yesterday that would be a quick & easy nursing snack: 1 c peanut butter 1/2-3/4c honey 3 c oatmeal (I added some flaxseed, too)
Melt the peanut butter and honey in a pan, add oatmeal & mix together. Press into a 9x9" pan (I only had 8x8). Let cool. Cut & enjoy.
