How long did it take? Did you have to do any exercises to try to promote collagen remodeling?
About two weeks of near-total inactivity on the left. There were no exercises. Once the splint came off, I was allowed to do whatever I wanted, although it took probably another 2 weeks to feel 100%.
Oh, I think this may be different. Tendinosis doesn't respond to rest or anti-inflammatories (it is chronic and the tissue of the tendon itself is disorganized, with a lack of inflammatory cells). One of the ways it is treated is with loading exercises, which hurt and suck.

Oh derp. Reading comprehension fail. My brain saw "tendinosis" and read "tendonitis" ... which yes, is different. My apologies.
I've got it. I've been doing eccentric heel drops like a fiend. It seems to be helping, and it makes total sense to me. I'm also spending 40 other minutes every damn day doing a bunch of focused exercises on fixing what the actual problem is. It better work.
I feel you. If this doesn't work I am going to FREAK OUT.
How long did it take you to work up to 40 minutes? I just got my exercises today (I have several other probably related issues in my hip area which we have been focusing on) but he only has me doing 2 sets of 12.
Knee...yes and no. I had tendonosis in my right knee along with a torn meniscus. I had to have surgery. It got infected. I spent a week in the hospital after a second surgery. Ya'll may remember this. My knee will never be the same, but 90% of the time it's bearable.
