This is the first time I've been able to check the forums since Friday!
I spent the weekend camping at Renfaire and had a date with J which was fun. It was an eventful weekend, but it reminded me of why I love being a part of the renfaire community.
This week has been crazy busy. I hurt my back Monday so I've been limping since then. Yesterday I could barely walk, but today I can walk with a slight limp.
Of course! I'm at a point where it is too weird for me not to. PDQ. Here is what I wore Saturday, and then me with DS on Sunday. XH and his FI came down Sunday as well, so we just did kid-swap there and it was nice because we could each get a break, and get kid-time. I think it was the first time a lot of our renfaire friends have seen us interact since the divorce and they were happy to see how well we got along. XH also met J this weekend and it seemed to go well.
Yesterday morning I emailed the guy I'm dating. He responded last night apologizing for not responding and explaining why. It was unnecessary but nice. I'd figured he probably would be too busy to respond (work and he had his son last night) but am still glad that he thought to say something to me.
Someone broke in to my car last night. I've deduced the following about the thief: Doesn't participate in equestrian sports (left my $100 riding helmet) Doesn't participate in outdoor sports (left my $250 Eddie Bauer waterproof shell) Has horrible taste in music (left my Reo Speedwagon and Flock of Seagulls cds) Doesn't like pizza (left coupon "bucks" to earn free pizza)
On the positive side, I found enough pizza bucks to earn a free pizza. My car is also cleaned out after 8 years of use.
P felt terrible about it. After I cleaned out my car, I walked in to the house and said "whelp, on the positive side, we now have enough pizza bucks for a free large pizza." He laughed and said "I love you."
I'm just thankful they didn't take anything that *I* value. And I'm thankful I left my iPod in the house (it's normally in my car).
bullygirl979 if they left all the cool shit, wth did they take?
Nothing, I think. I try not to leave anything of street value in my car (minus my iPod which will NEVER be in my car again). They just ripped my car apart from front to back. There was shit everywhere.

I'm glad they took nothing of value, but having your space broken into sucks.
I would like to take a moment, however, to point out that helmets should not be left in extreme temperatures, such as inside a hot car. It can ruin/warp the shape of the protective inside. Keep your noggin safe and take that sucker inside!
You sound like P He yells at me for that, too.
I'm going to buy a bag to keep my helmet, boots and half chaps in so I don't have to carry so much shite.
a) Excited your stitch fix box comes right before vacation. b) Are sending the extra pieces of clothes you ordered to your vacation destination (parents house). c) Ask your neighbor to periodically check your door while you are gone for any packages left outside.
So the number of the job in DC popped up, and I went all "EEEEEKYAYAY" and shut my door to answer. They wanted to tell me they're still wrapping up some of their internal requirements before they could make me an offer, but I should hear back at the end of the day or early tomorrow.
Why do must you tease me like that, HR guy? Call when you have an offer.
bullygirl979....my parents back garage was robbed a couple weeks ago. The only thing they took from my mom's car that was inside the garage was the damn owner's manual. WTF?!

My dad told me about the stolen manual last week and I almost peed my pants from laughter.
Bully I'm sorry your car got broken into. When I got robbed a few years go they stole my PS3. the disc drive died on it and we had removed it to see about repair. I hope they lost many games/dvd's by sliding them inside it.
My new part time coworker started today. She's a friend from college and I'm so excited about it.
It's something I was in for two years in high school, and it's their last performance of 2015 and is ALSO the 20th anniversary of the choir conductor leading the program. There will be a lot of old friends there.
I've been fatigued lately and isolating and I'm fat and uncomfortable being around people sometimes, and part me wants to say fuck it and lay on the couch. But I should go, right?
