You guys, it is cloudy and breezy here. I am sitting on a patio drinking coffee and eating a bagel the size of my head. The high is only going to be 104, not 109!
Fuck yeah, Wednesday! Note--my attitude was the opposite of this when I got up. It is amazing what carbs and a good breeze can do.
We were supposed to have our shrubs trimmed this week but there is a bird's nest in at least one and there are baby birds ( I can hear them) so I called the guy and told him not to come. I'd rather have cute baby birds and unruly shrubs then take a chance that something happens to the birds.
I've said it before but I am in love with my Roomba. We're having guests later this week and I love being able to just turn it on and have it clean while I am working from home. I just wish there was one to dust
ddi741 thank u for caring about those little birdies! what are they (if you know)? We just had some baby bluebirds that fledged awwwwww.
My hubby is home! I have missed him while he is traveling. He took the rest of the day off after landing at DCA this morning and is now napping on our patio. Jealous!
I'm having a rough day. Poor Wyatt is breaking out in hot spots AGAIN. I feel so bad for the guy, and don't know what's causing it. I'm also worried he's going to bleed all over the house cause I didn't think of a way to keep a bandage on it to prevent scratching until I got to work
We have thinderstorms around here which has made it a little muggy but way cooled down. I think we may be in the mid 90s which is a decent break from the triple digit sun pounding dry heat. I was considering heading to San Diego to go to the beach on Friday for a run (it's 1.5 hours from me) then just hanging out there by myself but I realized DH is off Friday as well and that killed my plans.

They are baby mockingbirds. Mom or dad sits on our pole lamp right next to the shrub pretty much all day. There are nests in my rose bushes too but I don't see anything in those.
The last time I bought make up I got a ton of perfume samples, which I love. So today I'm wearing Thierry Mugler Angel and it just smells a teeny bit like vomit to me. Like, sweet vomit. Ugh. It's made me feel so sick all morning. But....the upside is that maybe people will stay the hell out of my office and leave me alone all day. Might be useful...
We got the keys to our new office yesterday! My whole team has been working remotely for 9 months now, so this has been a long time coming. The office is so awesome and we got a great deal. Plus, it's .8 miles from my house- bonus!
DH leaves for ABQ tomorrow morning. I'll be by myself until Tuesday and off work. So far, my plans are: finish OITNB, clean out my closets, make seafood for dinner every night (DH doesn't like it). I'm trying to make the best of it!
hamster, have you ever tried Banixx for Wyatt's hot spots? Crash had them when we first got him, and we tried everything. A friend of ours suggested spraying the Banixx and it worked miracles! Disclaimer, I'm not a vet.

I haven't heard of that one, but it looks similar to vetricyn, which we've tried. I've tried a few methods, and I'm currently testing using Apple cider vinegar to dry and colloidal silver to heal. The one on top of his head looks much less raw and oozy, so fingers crossed its a good approach. I got his back this morning, I just hope he can leave it alone. I think tomorrow I'll gauze it, wrap it, and put a t-shirt on him. At least we both have Friday off.
I'm in a really good mood today, but I am so overwhelmed. I'm a day behind on my studying. Our house is a mess. I have a million things I want to do. We have a million things we have to do over the 3 day weekend. I'm so tired of studying. I want to just quit studying and quit my job and go hide somewhere. I'm just overwhelmed with life right now.

What's he eating? I feel like we had this conversation about his food before-could he be allergic to Beef?
Same food he's been on for a year. we do mix it with wet, and this particular stuff has goat but that'd be a very strange allergy and he's had it before. His food is chicken based, which I know is a common allergen, but he's eaten chicken based kibble for 2 years...

My initial thought was a grass allergy.
This was my thought for Crash too, and it turns out its not the grass but the weeds that grow IN the grass (crabgrass type stuff). So we were able to spray for weeds and keep the grass alive.
Thanks for the suggestions crashgizmo and @rennido. He has a vet appointment of Monday where they will no doubt suggest I spend a million dollars to find the cause. I'm starting with the pool, though, since that's the only thing noticeably different from last year.
Mr. P had a colonoscopy this morning. Polyps were snipped but the doctor said he was certain they were not cancerous. Labs will confirm. Mr Ps mom died after a long battle with colon cancer I am proud of him for being proactive with this. We both were up half the night. Nap time.

So funny what scents people like. I love Angel. It's one of my favorites.

Yay for being proactive. Hope the labs confirm the doctor's initial thoughts.

I've been sleeping like crap so I can't wait for the weekend. We're heading up north to a cabin with friends so not sure how much sleep I am going to catch up on!! I am nervous about the dog situation. My younger dog loves all other dogs but recently my older dog has turned into a grumpy old man about puppies and younger dogs bothering him. He's snapped at a few dogs and the other dogs that will be there are both younger/still in puppy stage.
Poor wy, wy. He's obviously really uncomfortable. He made the one on his back worse. Somewhat surprisingly there's only blood on the wall where he hits and waits for me to come home.

It was 93 degrees here today. It is 88 now and it is 8:30 at night. We have a multilevel house and no air conditioning. This sucks. Supposedly it is the hottest day in either the last 10 years or ever.

Me too. I wear it all the time and get compliments.
MSN has a slide show titled "Caitlyn Jenner's Most Memorable Looks" and I think it is a little odd. Granted, she looks great but she only came out to the world a few weeks ago so she really hasn't had an opportunity to wear all that many outfits. The slide who has a whopping five slides. MSN is weird sometimes.
I don't drink wine on weeknights if I am not traveling for work. This is a stupid rule. Yet I am following it despite having a delicious pino chilling in the wine fridge.
