Jeez. All the taping and caulking and actual painting. Good lord, I haven't done this many squats or shoulder work in aaaaages. And I've still got two rooms left. :?
Yes! We started painting the entire main area of our house, this past weekend. We knocked out the dining room, kitchen, a small hallway and half of the living room. That's only about half of it. :? I wanted to take a sledgehammer to the stupid built-ins in our family room! Luckily DH is off on Friday & I'm at work...which means that a good chunk of what is left, will happen in my absence. <)
I think I've broken in my painting muscles enough that I don't get sore anymore now that almost everything in my house is finally done. Except for when I did the basement ceiling last week.
fucking ceilings man.
I actually prefer to do trim these days though because at least I get to just sit down and scoot along the floor for that.

Well, isn't this an interesting mental image.
I love painting when I'm not doing it, but WHILE I'm painting, it's "OMG RAAAAAAGE" at the asswaffles that put the heavy texture on our walls. It requires two coats of paint and VERY diligent touch-ups and I hate those people with a passion.

Hmmm...I guess there'd have to be some sistine chapel style scaffolding involved here.
Your two coats plus touchups reminds me...my weirdo husband was CONVINCED that the basement ceiling, which was just kinda scuffed up (it's low and we hit it with stuff a lot. Including his head a few times while playing a Wii game.) and had three patches from holes for electrical and plumbing work, would need 2 complete coats.
Uh...no. Stop. I primed the patches, and did one complete coat everywhere else to freshen it up. Done. Why in the WORLD would something that is already painted white need two more coats of white in order to be...white?
Same with the trim down there. No, the already white but slightly dingy trim does not need two coats of good paint in order to be a nice fresh white. Get a damn grip.
We have so many coats of paint on our living room wall (it took FIVE coats to make it red a while back) that the texture is nearly gone. It's awesome. And the paint I bought covered that dark red like a BOSS.
