What are your holiday weekend plans?

If you are in the US? If you aren't, what are your weekend plans?

DH is actually off today and tomorrow and has to work the 4th. Today we did a hike with Rox and lawn work.

Tomorrow is a long hike with DH and then seeing the smaller fireworks show our city does at night.

Saturday I might do a solo hike then day drink and read on my patio. We are grilling out when H is off work and then doing sparklers in our yard. I hate dealing with the downtown traffic of the fireworks show plus I want to be home with my dog.

We're taking the baby to Indianapolis to meet his extended family. I'm so excited! This will be his first plane ride and I'm curious to see how he does.

He'll also be meeting H's dad, who we haven't been on speaking terms with in over a year. H is determined to give him one more shot and is hoping that making his grandson a reality to him might make a difference in his destructive, alcoholic behaviors. I am anxious as fuck about this part of the trip.

My brother is bringing DD home from TN. We will stay around the house. We may grill on Sat. and hope we can see fireworks from the house. If not, our community is having a big show on the 13th.

Oh man. I hope the visit goes well. I have an alcoholic MIL. I understand the frustration and disappointment.

DH may actually get the day off. We'll go to my aunt and uncle's beach house about an hour away. Really looking forward to it. The baby won't nap there most likely and will be a crab but oh well.

We're heading to NYC on Saturday. H is coming on a work gig and I'm just tagging along as he had enough miles to bring me for the cost of the taxes. We'll go out with a friend for beers & food on Sat night. I'm so excited to be in the States, I don't even care if I see nothing of the fireworks.

We're going to my parents' house on Saturday for a BBQ. We might spend the night and then go to the beach in Carlsbad or the SD Zoo on Sunday.

BIL invited us to his friend's house and DH said yes even though I said so many times I don't like the idea. I'm simply not comfortable with meeting people.

Our town does an awesome town wide garage sales on the 4th. Doing those a bit Saturday morning, then driving 45 mins to my parents place in afternoon to hangout with them, my brother and SIL and niece.

Sunday going to BIL's place, about an hour and a half away. He recently bought a house, but I haven't seen it yet.

We have a friend who lives on the parade route and she hosts a bbq every year during the parade, so we'll go to that in the afternoon and then head to fireworks at night.

Sunday we have to go to my IL's house for my H's grandfather's birthday and they will be grilling as well.

Sadly I think we'll spend the weekend photographing everything we own and figuring out how many suitcases we can fit in our cars so we know how much we can set aside for the movers not to pack. This will be our last weekend in our house before everything is boxed up, so hopefully we can also have some fun in the backyard and have a family movie night at some point.

I have zero plans. My kids are going to be with their dad. I feel lame, I've been turning down invites to do things because I want to be lazy and alone.

I feel you. I am an introvert and like small gatherings and don't feel super comfortable making conversation with a bunch of people I don't know.

We are having our first kid free weekend since we got married at the end of May and I am SO excited. Tomorrow we are going to dinner and a movie and on Saturday we are going to watch the fireworks near the river. I'm sure that there will be plenty of drinking and lounging poolside as well.

H has a four day weekend. We're having SIL/BIL and their kids over tomorrow to BBQ. Other than that, we want to sleep in, go see some movies, see some fireworks and spend some time at the pool.

Oh, and go to the festival they have every 4th. It's super fun and they sell WINE!

I have to work tomorrow. Tomorrow night, we're meeting friends for dinner & drinks at the beach. Saturday morning, we're driving down to my mom's (about 1 1/2 hrs) for the weekend. My sister, nieces, and BIL will be there as well. We'll swim in the pool & grill. I made watermelon purée & mint simple syrup for watermelon mojitos. Can't wait until 5PM tomorrow!
