DH and I are doing a 5k tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty fat and out of shape at the moment (read: slooowww) so we'll see how it goes. Maybe I'll surprise myself.
Good luck all! I finished my last run this morning for a week!!! Made it to my mid year break! Omg im going to be climbing the walls by Monday I just know it. But I have to take a week off. Only teaching this week! I'm scared lol
I am helping a friend who DNF'd a 50k due to IT band/knee issues, and then couldn't do her replacement 50k due to work. She's running 3 loops of a local lake path that's just over 11 each. Getting up for the early shift. It'll be kind of a reverse race, because she wants to be about 2 minutes/mile slower than I normally run the loop, and I want to make sure that I don't inadvertently push the pace and wear her out.

I was thinking about a 5k tomorrow morning, but I decided family time was more important so my son and I headed up to the ILs' with my SIL and her GF. My wife is working otherwise she'd be here too, we'll spend the night here and head back tomorrow afternoon to spend the evening and Sunday with her.
I did the Freedom 5000 here in town yesterday. I think I actually shaved two minutes off of last years time but I can't find the damn rave results but I crossed the line at 30:04. So take a few seconds off that and that should be my time.
