So someone has been using my email address when signing up for random online accounts (Vista print and realtor.com). My email hasn't been accessed from foreign devices, so it seems that this person just doesn't want to use their own email and for some reason chose to use mine.
Is this something I should be worried about? I may or may not have reset their password for both accounts they set up.
My email is my name. This person ordered something from the site mentioned above and asked for it to be shipped to someone whose name is not even close to mine so I don't think it's an accident.
H said if it's Hotmail or Gmail, shut it down. If it's tied to a service provider like Comcast, call and let them know the account has been compromised and ask for a new alias.

This has been happening to me for years. There is apparently some lady with my same name who thinks my email address is hers (my email is firstnamelastname@gmail). She has done everything from order stuff on Amazon to book airplane tickets to sign up for trade shows and has still not figured out that THAT IS NOT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS!! There doesn't appear to be any security issue, though, just a 60-something woman who doesn't know how to use email.
I'm starting to worry now...I got a text from Verizon that my address had been changed and to call if I hadn't changed it. So I called and yep, it was. And someone had tried to order a new phone already. Cripes.
Yeah I have an issue with a woman with the same name as me. She gives out my email instead of hers sometimes but mine is firstname.lastname@gmail. It's our shared name but I got it first.
She is stupid and annoying. Like I get her hotel confirmations and her swim lesson confirmations and emails from her grandma.
Wow...it happens to others! I ended up snagging a yahoo email that the other person with my name apparently had many many years ago and then either yahoo deactivated it or she got rid of it. I get her monthly OnStar report for her 2014 GMC Sierra and every few months I get an email from one of her clients and I politely email them back to tell them that they have the wrong person and that they need to call my name twin and get a valid email from her. I've sent messages to her to fix her email with OnStar but she still hasn't done it.

My email is similar and I found out that the . in the email isn't necessary. So if you put firstnamelastname@gmail..com it would still come to you. If the person has a name that is completely different than your email I would shut it down. Seems weird that they can't just use theirs if it's legit so they have a receipt and updates on shipping, etc.

Ugh. Someone recently had a field day making fraudulent charges on my credit card. I did the fraud thing and now 2 of the fraudulent charges showed up again. It's like the company git the fraud claim and decided "nah."
