BC cherries. Hooray for summer fruit season. Also ice cream. Then I combine the two by making this, and putting it on said ice cream.
I'm going to the orchard for a big box today. Lol. Sooo good.
Jealous. I picked some up at the fruit truck on Thursday and have been rationing since 1)they're expensive here, and 2)I don't go back to town until Monday. But they're so good this year.
I make this spicy edemame with chili garlic sauce and hoisin mixed with sesame oil and rice wine vinegar. It's so freaking amazing and I probably eat at least a bag a week. I know soy is bad for you, so I try to limit my intake, but it is sooooo good.
auntflo, can you share the recipe please?
There's not really a recipe... One day I just threw every Asian ingredient I had in my refrigerator together and it came out amazing.
I do a big spoon full of chili garlic sauce, spoon full of hoisin, about a teaspoon on sesame oil, prob a tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, then a splash is soy sauce and a few shakes of fish sauce.
Mix all of it up and adjust it to taste. I like it with a ton of chili garlic sauce so it is spicier.
I eat an alarming amount of roasted broccoli every week. You know those huge bags that are like 2-3 lbs from Costco? Yeah, I take down one of those a week.
Do you have a recipe you use or just pop them in the oven? I love roasted veggies!

Olive oil, salt, onion powder, garlic powder. 375 or 400 depending on what else I'm cooking in the oven until a little brown.

Gold Peak Iced Tea with Lemonade
My H and I are finally coming down from our addiction to these:
We were eating 2 a night for awhile and had like 4 or 5 boxes in our freezer. They are amazing! My favorite part are the little bits of cookie in the ice cream part. Mmmmmmm
I am obsessed with overnight oats. I love them in the summer.
I just started making these, I am also obsessed!!! I do oats, low sugar vanilla almond milk, cinnamon, banana and pecans, it's like dessert for breakfast!

I'm so new to this game. How do you make them?
It's so easy! I take 1/4 cup quick oats, mix with 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk, I add some Splenda and cinnamon, mix it in a container, cover and put it in the fridge. The next day I slice up a banana and add some pecans and eat!
