We just got to the Orlando airport after our disney cruise. Our flight doesn't leave until 8pm so we got a day room at the Hyatt. I'm sitting by the pool watching DS swim. We had so much fun, but in glad we're going home. I'll miss the maid and the wonderful food. Hopefully we can go again in two years.
Now that I'm no a grumpy bitch, I'm making homemade rolls for dinner tonight and Dave has taken Makayla to the fireworks store that's at least 45 minutes away. MY HOUSE IS SO QUIET!! <3
I was out waaaaay too late last night at a work friend's party, and for the first time in probably a decade I agreed to do shots. Ugh. Never again.
Today I have a hair and eyebrow appointment, then we're going to a friend's house for a very low-key barbeque. It's probably the last time I'm going to see her before we move.
I imagine we'll try to do fireworks too, though DS 2 was up before 5:00 this morning and I doubt he'll make it. After the night I had last night I might just stay home with him while H takes DS 1 to our usual viewing spot.
H and I are chilling after a busy morning running errands and steam cleaning the sofas. Church picnic later before fireworks. We are 2 blocks from a place that does a big production every year so we gather to watch in the church parking lot comfortably away from the crowds. Win!

The in-laws are grilling burgers and smoking wings later, so the kids and I will go over there for that. I'm just grateful they think of us and still include me in their plans.
I thought about taking the kids to see fireworks, but the only event I know of is one downtown that is crazy packed and insane. Which is doable, but I'm not sure how the baby will react. Babies are weird, haha.
No plans for the first time in years and I'm a little bummed about it. Our neighborhood has an event but it starts at 6pm (DS usually goes to bed around 7).

How old is he?
Last year was the first year we let M stay up (bath is usually at 7 and alseep by 8), but she was 4.
She made it until after the fireworks but then immediately said something along the lines of , "Okay...now put me to bed".
Also today would've been my moms74th bday. I used to love to celebrate with 4th with her and her bday. I can't believe she's been gone 5 years! My mom was the abdoul the best. I miss her daily. It was always such fun. My moms bday the 4th, h's is tomorrow and my dad's is Monday. We always had huge 4thd bc of it all
On days like today (well, really, all summer), I wish I lived somewhere with a nice beach. Or any beach for that matter. Even if it's a cold location in the winter, I would love to have a beach to enjoy during the summer.
I would go sit under an umbrella and read all day listening to the waves with my feet in the sand.
I made cinnamon rolls from scratch this morning and they are in the oven now. DH is out on a run, I think I'm going to take a bike ride when he gets back.
We're going to bike over the fireworks tonight. DD2 learned to ride a pedal-bike yesterday, but she's still nowhere near being able to go a few miles on a trail, much less in the dark, so we'll use the bike trailer.

We are on the way home from the lake - we have to drop the dog off, throw together a salad, and get fresh swimsuits/towels together so we can go over to my aunt and uncle's house for a pool party. We will drink a lot and play bags and probably drink some more.
Then we will debate which city's fireworks we will watch for at least 40 minutes. Every. Fucking. Year.
We are going to float/tube down a local river today. We are grilling ribs for dinner and my mom is going to show me how to make lumpia. We have some fireworks and will have a bonfire tonight. Hopefully another cabin will have the good fireworks.
We played CAH with my mom and aunt and uncle and cousins the other night. The first card my played for me to to read was "The ball-slapping sex your parents are having right now." THANKS, MOM.

She's SUPER excited to stay up again tonight.
18 months. We could probably stretch him until 8 so we'll just have to play it by ear.
Unless it's the nonalcoholic kind, you'll have to drink doubles for me. I don't think Baby Cats would like very much booze even though I would be all over that.
On the road. DH keeps trying to come up with ways to detour and not have to show up. I love this man.
Just packing up the garage and kitchen at the old place and unpacking and finding room for everything at the new place. I'm super grateful for the extra day off yesterday so I could get the furniture moved in.

Virgin whiskey sour it is! Your H sounds like a keeper.
We had our family kickball game today and now we ended up taking an ambulance to the ER for an injury. They think Dh tore his acl, I've never seen him in so much pain. Fun times.
We took a good selfie though once the meds kicked in.
I'm boiling eggs for deviled eggs tonight while trying to keep the 8 month old entertained so my husband can sleep in. We're having a crowd of people ovr tonight for BBQ (we had meat flown in from Texas and we're pretty excited about the brisket) and fireworks. It should be fun! Just a lot of work

Neighbors block party set up has begun, I heard the first argument from bed. Ear protection, glow sticks, sleeping bags and special snacks are ready. I'm bummed H is working tonight, the 4th is hard for the boys.
H is about to go drop off my nephew back at his house and I'm going to go to the gym, then we're going to meet up back here and pick up the house a bit. We had company last night and I want to control the mess before it gets out of control! Then we're probably going to go out to eat then go to a local festival where they have rides, bounce houses, etc and watch fireworks at 9.
