Have a safe and happy 4th everyone!
I'm up and getting ready for my 10k. I'm not sure after what we are up to. They are now calling for maybe rain. We have a bunch of projects around the house so we will do some of those.
Up for my 5k. Plus my sleeping schedule has been kind of crazy since I got back. Going to do stuff around the house after the race and going to a friend's for dinner this evening.

I'm am and I wish I was still in bed. The cats have been up since 5. On my day off. Guess it will give me time to eat before I workout at 9. Later we are going to a friends house to hangout and watch the fireworks.

Up watching the Peachtree Road Race on TV with DS, and making pancakes.
DD is up in NY with our family for the month and DH is working. Once the rain stops, I'll take DS for a run/walk in the jogging stroller. Then I want to do a little shopping. Feels easy with only one kid in tow
I'm up! I'm at my cousins house and a towel rack fell off and the screw thingy landed on top of my foot. Yep that foot. I'm on blood thinners and for such a small scratch I bled a bit. Now just waiting for a bruise to form. This is so fun! Lol!
Nothing H&F. I slept in and ate a nice breakfast with the family! It was glorious. We're going to have lobster rolls for lunch and then head to a neighbors BBQ later. Hoping the weather holds up.
Happy 4th! It is pouring here. I got 2nd in my 5k, and a course PR (20:10). It was an off day for me (AF is a few days late so not surprised), but I'm trying to not let it get to me. I got faster with each mile which is cool and shows my progression tempos are working.
Now home to celebrate DS's 7th birthday! My buddy!
Waiting for H to get up so we can go run. We are doing a virtual 5k, and we are going to do it on the tri course for next week to check it out. Then, mattress shopping (I'm way too excited about this) and BBQ and fireworks later.
That race was absolutely brutal. It was so hot and so humid. I managed 23:12 according to my garmin - slower than I'd have liked but faster than I really expected so I guess I'll take it. It was good for 4th in my age group. Someday maybe I'll finally manage to win an AG award. I beat H, so there's that.
No working out for me today. The only plans I have is to do a little side work. I'm working on saving money for my NY trip in a few months. I don't have enough play money for it.
I'm up! Between the comedy of errors that was yesterday's run ( awful bra chafing--I've worn this bra tons of times before and never had this issue; and a line of blisters my toes from a sock seam misalignment) and not sleeping last night, I am passing on the gym in favor of sewing some wedding dresses.
It's going to rain here through about mid aftermoon. runblondie26 If you haven't looked at the radar, don't! I made some French toast and set up the trainer. I'll get on the trainer for a bit and watch the TOUR DE FRANCE! Yeah! Every cyclist's favorite tv show of the year! After that, a bit of cleaning and maybe a movie.
10k in the books, now I'm waiting for my cousins to finish so we can meet them for lunch.
It was a crazy day yesterday. I booked us a hotel near the start of the race so Mr. GT and I could have an easy race morning. Well they over booked the hotel and moved us to downtown and we had to get up super early to make it to the start. We now have to more back to the original hotel tonight. Last night's hotel was free and they were not committal on tonight's being free. I plan to speak to managers when I get back to the original hotel.

Another 10k in the books and I officially don't know how to pace myself for a 10k. I got a 5 minute PR even though the course was not flat as advertised. There were some swear words said along the way. Rolling hills do not equal flat!
