A flag cake which is just French vanilla cake with cool whip. The Stars portion of the flag is blueberries and the stripes are strawberries.

Yesterday it was supposed to be a yellow cake turned into a monkey with donut ears but the cake stuck to the pan. So I turned it into a trifle with vanilla pudding, strawberries, blueberries and cool whip. DD actually ate it and she usually hates cake, so I guess it was a birthday win!
We have no plans today but I have a roast in the crock pot to turn into shredded beef sandwiches for a party at my inlaws tomorrow.

That's the same thing I am making, except the cake is a Funfetti-like cake, and I'm using raspberry jello drizzled over the top of the cake. Like this recipe, except I'm not making it double layer: allrecipes.com/Recipe/All-American-Flag-Cake/?prop31=2&evt19=1

Ice cream sandwhich torte. Layer of ice cream sandwhiches in a 9x13, layer of hot fudge and Crushed up chocolate cookies, another layer of ice cream sandwhiches, topped with cool whip and crushed Heath bars. Yum.

Debbie downer here. Not doing anything special. Today has been spent pet sitting at two different places. I was also with my elderly lady I help take care of. Changed her sheets, two loads of laundry. Made her lunch.

Homemade ice cream and cake pops for fireworks time. We also have made a watermelon fruit bowl that my husband carved a flag and stars into. He's pretty handy at creative things.
