When I was a kid our Sunday paper had one in the comic section. Every Sunday I was like this is going to be the Sunday this is going to work! It never was.
I was a freakin expert at these things when I was young. I would cross, then uncross my eyes and they would just show up. I could even look around at the different details of the picture and they wouldn't go away.
I haven't looked at one in years, and I can't see the one that was posted in this thread. I wonder if I would be able to see one in person.

Yes. We had several books when I was a kid. However, for many years, I was seeing them inversed because I crossed my eyes wrong. Then one day I relaxed my eyes right and saw the real image popping out instead of sinking in to the picture. From that point on I've been able to see the picture properly within seconds. I also have a tendency to automatically look at certain wall papers and patterns with the "magic eye" technique and it makes me dizzy, lol.
