I read *somewhere* that discount retailers get overstock, or if the packaging changes they'll get the older stuff. Sometimes they'll do a special bulk discount order. I'm sure it's legit.

Score. I also just found my normal go-to perfume on there for significantly less too. I don't care if the packaging is different!

That's very true. I was able to get a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie for $39 recently since the store was clearing it out. I was sad as I bought the last bottle. I wanted to buy more!

Perfume does go bad eventually, so stocking up isn't always a money saver. Depends on how fast you go through a bottle.

For that particular perfume, I go through it rather slow, but at the rate I use it, I've never noticed any change between the start and end of the bottle.

If you're using it up within five years you probably wouldn't notice a change. The problem with buying overstock is that it often has already been a year or so before you get it. But it's worth it for sure if you'll go through the bottle in a couple of years.
I once bought some Pureology conditioner at Target that I swear was either fake or very, very expired. I don't trust them on this any longer.
I think this is why I was kind of hesitant. One of my hair stylist friends was talking about how the super pricey products they sell at her salon were being sold at Target and she bought it- was super old and gross.
Most hair products have a way shorter shelf life than perfume though, so I'm hopeful.
