Of course. The doctors at the hospital told us that it wasn't unusual for this to happen on the 4th of July. The dog gets stressed out and it bites. Sucks, but it's totally normal. And if she says she's ok and it's not a habit, don't fret.
On the relieving side of this- just pay for any medical treatment she may need. That's about it, if she is fine you could be nice and send her bottle of wine or flowers, but that would be over the top kind.
Sorry that happened What everyone else said. It happens even with good dogs. I think in the future you should probably crate if there are "new" people and stressful holidays or situations (mine freaks out on New Years, 4th of July, Halloween and thunder storms)
