Also why I wouldn't get one that's wrist based. I sign a lot at work. One of my deaf coworkers has a wrist one (not sure which) and we did an experiment. It counted our entire conversation as steps!
I take it out of the band and put it in my pocket when working in the kitchen. That way it doesn't count the things I'm doing with my hand, but it does count the small steps I make around the room.

Same. This is why the flex is awesome--you can slip out the tracker and pocket it.
I put it in my pocket when run, and it aligns pretty closely with my garmin count.

H and I both have the charge. When we were at the parade last week, he got 4000 steps more than I did. Mostly because he was waving with his hand that had the Fitbit on it, and I was waving with my other hand. We are always way off on steps, even when we do the same thing all day. I wonder if this is why.
