If you didn't gain a lot of weight while pregnant

I am 5'1 and with my first I was around 150 when I got pregnant and gained about 30 lbs he was 9lbs 13oz.

This time I started out 125 and have gained about 15lbs (I'm 34 weeks) I'm wondering if my weight gain will have any effect on the baby, I'm hoping not negitive. I'm eating and my ob says everything looks good im just hoping the baby is growing enough.

I don't think it necessarily works like that. I gained 40 lbs with DS1 and 20 lbs with dd and they were both over 8 lbs.

I gained about 45 pounds the first time. DS1 was 8.5. I gained about 18 the second time and DS2 was 8.6. Didn't matter!

I gained 11 on one and 12 on the second... Both were in the mid- seven pound range. This time I've gained about 6lbs so far, with ten-ish weeks to go, so I seem to be on the same path.

My sister gained 30 pounds with both kids, which sounds right on target except she's 90 pounds soaking wet, so she was supposed to gain 40. Both kids were 7.5-8 pounds, thereabouts.

I gained around twenty pounds with both of mine. A was 8lbs 15oz and M was 7lbs 14oz

I lost a pound and he was 8 lbs 3 oz. And then I gained 15 after he was born. Pregnancy was some kind of weird weight loss maintenance thing for me, and then my body got right back into its tendency to gain rapidly once he was born.

I didn't weigh myself when pregnant and had the dr weigh me backwards, but I think I gained about 20lbs. I was probably 15lbs overweight to begin with and had terrible heartburn during my pregnancy so I couldn't overeat. My husband and I are both very very tall (both well over 6') and both large framed. Ds was born at 39 weeks, 8lb12oz

With my first I lost 10 pounds (likely IVF weight that I had gained) and then gained it back during the course of my pregnancy for a net total of 0 pounds. I had a 6 lb 4 oz baby.

With my second I gained about 6 pounds. I had an 8 lb 12 oz baby.

So I think no correlation.

Ds2-I gained 17lbs and he was 10lbs 12oz

Dd1: I gained 25 lbs and she was 9 lbs at 38 weeks.
Dd2: I lost 7 lbs by 8 weeks, and was -7 the day I was induced. No recorded weight gain. She was 8 lbs., 9 oz at 39 weeks.
Ds1: I gained 30 lbs, IIRC, but it was mostly edema and excess amnio fluid. He was 5 lbs., 4 oz at 35 weeks. He'd have been 7.5+ if born at term.
Ds2: I lost 20 lbs by 13 weeks and gained back 12 of it. He was 9 lbs at 39 weeks 2 days.
Dd3: I gained the most with her, 50 lbs, yet she was my smallest term baby, 7 lbs., 4 oz at 38 weeks 4 days.

I was a tiny bit overweight when I got pregnant and so was told to stick to under 20lbs. I gained 19lbs. DD was only 5lb 13oz, but this makes sense based on H and my birth size.

No ill-effects for her small birth size. She's still petite but kicks ass

My friend gained 9lbs and had a 9.5lb baby. She was obese and then got GD.

I gained 40 lbs the first time and 20-25 the second. Both girls were 8 lb 10 oz, although the second cooked for a week longer.
