The top 20 is very heavily in violence. I feel like this is a list for a WoW playing 35 year old guy who lives in his mom's basement.
ETA: the top 50, actually.
Sure, it might be tilted towards one category but considering that many of us have seen most of the movies I take offense to the idea that its a list for 35 year old men living in their mom's basement.
It's for 35 year old men and women who appreciate movies!
Everyone says Shawshank is so good. I have not seen it.
I also have not seen #10 (shame), #15, #28, #30, #34, #35, #36, #37, #38, or #40. I stopped counting there. :/
ETA: There are 29 in the top 100 I have not seen. This is unacceptable. I am literally that person who sees all the best picture nominees before the Oscars each year!

I've seen all but 14 of the top 100. Mostly the ones that looked too scary. I hate horror movies. Some of this list I really question though. Transformers? Really?
You guys. Shawshank Redemption is SUCH A GOOD MOVIE. Everyone in here who hasn't seen it needs to watch it immediately.
I made it to 30 (Breaking Bad), but not counting TV shows, I made it to 44. I've never heard of Leon: The Professional? I think a lot of this has to do with living in a pretty boring town for the first quarter of my life. I don't watch movies as often anymore.
The Professional is *so* good. It's by Luc Besson (the guy who did Fifth Element), and has Natalie Portman being an amazing actor at like age 12 and Gary Oldman being an awesome over-the-top villain.
I was out at #12, haven't seen Django Unchained. I have a reluctance to see movies that I know would be emotionally wrenching, so I'm sure there's more top movies I haven't seen for that reason (e.g., Schindler's List, Amistad).
I sent it to DH...curious to see what his "number" is!
Agreed. I not sure how those who haven't seen it have avoided it. I feel like it is on one channel or another at least a couple times a week, and has been for the past 15+ years.
This, I'm seriously shocked that there are so many people who haven't seen Shawshank. I've seen it approximately 85 times, because its ALWAYS on TV and its SO GOOD.
