I lobbied for Isabel for months, but DH kept complaining "Our baby isn't a bell." I *love* Annabel and would have championed that if it wasn't a conflict of interest for me.
(I also love Grace but DH didn't go for it. So I'm fully in favor of the name).
(I'm sure you've considered and rejected Arabella, which has a little of the feel of both names.)

Hmm, so DH says he likes Annabella, but not Annabel. His main point of contention is the nn Belle. She would never go by that, though. I mean, we have a Vincenzo that is a complete mouth full and we've never given a nn. My DH is just crazy.
Thanks, all. I kinda did like Annaliese, but the anal-ease is seared in now. Ha. I've always liked Cate. My other names that I like are way too out there for DH's taste: Wren, Rue or Flynn.

With Vincenzo I like Annabella too, they go together better IMO

Annabel definitely. Calla seems shortened or something to me, like it is unfinished.
I LOVE Nico. We are having a boy and I would have loved that name. It doesn't work with the last name unfortunately. Plus I actually have a dog named Nico.
I have an elderly relative named Annelise. It is the Polish variant of Annaliese. I much prefer it as the word " Anal" is much less obvious when spelled this way.
Annabelle/a is cute. However I think Annabella is much more prone to the nn Bella than Annabelle is to Belle.
