I managed to sleep in today which is great. We are officially under contract on our house. We received 4 offers and I am happy with the one we chose. Now to start getting the furniture sold.

I'm tiiiiiiiiired. No good reason. Em starts daycare today. I know I need her to go so that I can be productive and work, but I'm still a little sad about it.

Morning! I was dreading coming in to work today. At least it should be somewhat of a relaxed week. I need to contact candidates about moving forward to the second round of interviews and figure out who I want to be involved in those.
Tonight I think we are grilling and I need to sweep the floors again, my friends dog was over and got hair allllll over.
Congrats on the offers monsterz!! It was great finally getting to meet you last week too. It will be fun to have you back in Seattle soon
I'm tired today too. H kinda kept me awake and even with the AC in our room it was still warm and muggy. Didn't help that I had another early morning to get the car to the shop. Hoping to work out then crash out tonight.
I am sending my kid off to the grandparents for the day while I deal with my injured knees and try to clean up. I haven't done housework in days because of the heat. So far, the day doesn't feel as hot as everyone said it'd be.
What injured knees?? No Bueno! Take care of yourself!

congrats monsterz! hoping I can meet you someday since you are coming back.
Tman has a dentist appointment in an hour. He is still asleep and I'm still laying around in my pajamas. Lazy.
I am not working this week. I will keep an eye on my inbox and put in a couple hours here and there, but I worked enough last week that if I don't get a lot of hours this week, it's no big deal paycheck wise. I also did A LOT of cleaning on Friday, so I just have a few projects to work on this week: spot cleaning the carpet, going through papers, easy stuff like that! I'm excited about my lack of responsibility this week.
Gotta get in the shower. Have a good day everyone.

I planned to be lazy yesterday, then someone on our neighborhood board posted some free flowers. I went and got what was left and spent a few hours in the garden in the heat. I'm certainly feeling it this morning.
Back to normal routine today. I have to go down to Tukwila during lunch time today. I have a new employee starting today. I am hoping traffic is light so I can sneak in a car wash on the way back.
I am also hoping it's cooler when I get home. While the heat is a great excuse not to clean our house is getting dirty. I got the bathrooms done yesterday morning. We spend the afternoon at the IL's because they have AC and a larger pool. Anyway it's so nice to have clean bathrooms, I can't wait to get the rest of the house done so I can just relax next week end.
Managed to get 2 loads of laundry done last night, still need to get a lot more done including some blankets but this heat just keeps making me feel so nauseated much of the afternoon & evening that i don't get much of anything done except trying to stay hydrated. Also, it turns out I own NO SHORTS that fit and that I can wear out in public!! (I have 1 cozy pair for around the house but they are short-short jersey.) And of course with the way retail works, all the effing shorts are on clearance in all the stores and there are no sizes left. ARGH!! If I can lay off the ice cream and pina coladas and non-water beverages, then at least i should be able to start dieting in this heat because my appetite is tanked.
We are back in Seattle after a great week in PHX. We are headed to check out a short term rental tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed for us. We are picking up some boxes from a friend later this week, likely, so we need to figure out what to pack first. Not looking forward to moving (twice) but definitely excited about the new house so it's worth it!

Hope everyone had a great 4th! We spent Friday and Saturday on Bainbridge with my parents and my sister's family. My sister has a boat so the kids spent most of the time being pulled on a tube behind the boat, but we also went to the Bainbridge parade, did some paddle boarding, and relaxed with family. Overall a very good weekend. Left early Sunday morning to avoid the ferry traffic so we had time to get stuff done at home and watch the soccer game.
Today I'm back at work, but I officially start my 50% time schedule.
We got back from our cruise yesterday and I am exhausted. Babylefty is exhausted. He spent the entire time being doted on by 15 family members, the crew, and half the ship. I kid you not complete strangers (to me at least, apparently babylefty made friends with the whole damn ship) would come up to us and say "oh its babylefty! How are you?" And proceed to play with him. He also climbed the spiral stairs 10 times a day for fun. It was a great trip but I am glad to be home. I wasn't seasick the entire time but today....different story. My head is still rocking like the ship...luckily the baby is napping and I can just hang out.
I am exhausted! But I had a super fun weekend with my nephews and niece even though not a lot of sleep was involved.
My heart melts when my niece says 'Dank yew' she is literally at maximum cuteness. I found all my littlest pet shops and she had a ball playing with them. These are the nice ones from the 90s not the creepy huge eye ones they have now.
Today I am relaxing and causing problems at work. Nothing new
Ok, finally on a real computer to post a picture! lol I have been trying from my iPad but it won't let me no matter what I try.
So we went out to costco today. First trip with everyone and its a little chaotic. J is having a hard time not getting ALL the attention anymore so thats been a bit hard to handle but I know its part of the adjustment period. Not much else going on though, might do some sprinkler play after nap since its supposed to be so warm today.
Anyways heres a picture of little man. We ended up going with a name not on our list that H had brought up the day before my induction and it seemed to stick with him. After narrowing things down I ended up letting him pick and he picked to name him Andrew. I like it though, a little more traditional than I originally wanted but I like it and its something I feel definitely fits him.
Hello! I had a great weekend, but I am happy to be back in the office and A/C! Something is up with our dishwasher, so H is meeting up with the handyman after work. This is a time I'm happy to not be a homeowner, and the property management pays for all this.
dana86 he is beautiful!! I really like his name too. Congrats again! I can't believe you're already taking 3 kids to Costco!
Its one of the few places with a cart big enough for all of them! lol And I was going stir crazy in the house with the heat so it was either Target or Costco and Costco had some water bottle type cups on sale for the girls so they won haha
Oh my gosh he is so cute! Yay- I am glad you were able to get out and get some stuff done. The houses seem to be sweltering right now, I did not want to bring back the Florida weather with me.
