There are not a lot of delivery options around here, so DH and I get Chinese takeout (delivery) on the regular. It's a little pricey though, so I'm curious - what do you typically spend when you get Chinese takeout?
We normally spend about $40 for delivery (including tip). That is generally one order of egg rolls (which is two), steamed dumplings, general gau's chicken and moo shu pork. We normally have enough leftover for lunch the next day.
When I order just myself (which is the only time I do delivery) I think it's $14? I'm not sure what the delivery charge is but I know I need at least a $10 order before they'll deliver. I usually get either sesame chicken or broccoli beef with lo mein instead of rice. And 2 crab rangoon. The dinner portion comes to that total and is enough for a little leftovers. H usually gets peanut butter chicken.
We don't live close enough to a Jimmy Johns for them to deliver - and I'm not a fan anyway. So I got chinese delivered a lot while on ML.
If H and I get dinner it's about $20-$25 but we never do delivery since we live about 5 minutes from the place. Sometimes I also pick chinese up at a local grocery store which is usually $6.99 per person.
About 30 ish, I think. (also HCOL) We generally get some sort of chicken (garlic, general TSO, or orange, usually) dry fried string beans, rice, and a soup or spring rolls.
Around $20-$22 I think. MCOL. My go-to order is Dragon & Phoenix (mix of General Tso chicken and chili shrimp) and steamed dumplings. My H will get spare ribs or beef and broccoli. Sometimes we will add a side of broccoli or a soup depending on our mood.
between $25-$30. We usually get lemon chicken, veggie lo mein, a ton of rice (my H eats soooooo much rice, we always have to order extra servings) and maybe egg rolls. It's enough food for the two of us for dinner and then lunch the next day.

That's one of the ways we justify it
I usually get combo lo mein b/c DS will eat all the protein. DH gets General tso's chicken, and we usually get a couple apps.
We usually order one entree and a side like white rice or pork fried rice. Total with tip it comes to just over $20. We order food to go and pick it up.
We live in a HCOL area, bedroom community near Silicon Valley.
I usually only get the lunch specials at my local Chinese takeout (I WAH). It's $12.50 for rice, an egg roll and a main dish. I pick up, so no delivery fee.
I like anything in black bean sauce or General Tso's chicken.
Our usual place is Chinese-Japanese-Thai and we typically get pad thai, lo mein, egg/spring rolls, another appetizer, and another meat, for about $40 for the 3 of us. We get 2-3 meals out of it, though.
Nothin' better than warmed up Chinese leftovers the next day, mmm.... (no, not being sarcastic).
Our favorite chinese place doesn't deliver, so we do take out there.
we're fairly LCOL, but their prices are amazing and each entree is enough for two meals.
General Tso is 7.75 Moo shu is 7.75 Sesame cold noodles 4.50 Lard Nar (my absolute favorite) is 7.25 Even if we get three entrees and an appetizer, so we have tons of leftovers, it's about $25.
Probably about $20 for two LARGE entrees, rice, and some kind of side like egg rolls. That includes tax and a tip. The food is enough to feed us for at least a couple of meals, they are generous!
H usually gets sesame or orange chicken. I like Singapore-style street noodles.
LCOL suburb. Exactly one Chinese place in our actual town, but lucky for us it's delicious.

Around $20-25 but I'm picky and prefer certain restaurants. I get Mu Shu, Shrimp with Broccoli or just Fried Rice, with an egg roll. H gets braised wings and rice. I also ask for the fried won ton strips. Love those.
I normally get kung pao chicken, he tries different entrees but always with meat. We might get an order of spareribs as well, or Sometimes we also get chicken fried rice
if we got spareribs, two entrees AND fried rice it might be more like $35 I guess but I can't remember the last time we got that much
