One of my cousins already has her kids school supply lists. She's buys for one kid every few weeks (she has five).
There was a girl asking her mom why it was out the other day, and the mom told her school was about to start. She said no, school just got out. Ok, nm, poor story telling.
And DD starts school a month from now so we have started picking up items so we don't have to make one huge trip. I know most of my friends are doing the same so having the stuff out is helping us
I went to Target the other day looking for a beach towel, and they said they only had one left in their bargain bin - the whole display had been taken down to make room for the school supplies.
It's still summer! People are still swimming and will buy beach towels from you if you stock them!
Neither have mine. School starts here Sept 4th and Walmart had the stuff out today. I can't complain though, I was by myself picking up one thing. I lost myself in the school supply aisle because I love school supplies. That might very well be why I became a teacher.
I also love school supplies. I want to buy all of it for myself. Nothing better than fresh crayons.
YES.
I used to love setting up my trapper keeper with all the Lisa Frank folders, perfectly sharpened pencils, and un-marred notebooks. I need that Homer Simpson drool gif.
My co-worker (fellow teacher) texted me a pic the DAY after we got out for summer (so, May 30) of a Kleenex box she bought at the grocery store that said Back to School on it. WTF? Pretty soon you will be buying school supplies for the following year when you are still going to school for the current one.

They live in NC or GA or something. Not sure if they have a different schedule?
I think year round school is pretty common in the Carolinas . I know a couple people who teach year round out there. My nephew does it here and gets six weeks off in the summer so he will be heading back next week.

Year round schools here in NC (we do have traditional options too), 3 of the 4 tracks started their 2015/2016 school year TODAY. This has been the sight since early June or so.

Here in the Raleigh, NC area they do have year round AND traditional options. There are 4 "tracks" of school for year rounds, 3 of which started today. 1 Track was done school the first week of June and went back today. 2 tracks ended LAST Tuesday, June 30th and started back today (1 week SUmmer vacation), and 1 track finished last Tuesday and goes back July 27th I think. DD is on one of the tracks that actually had/has a "summer vacation" of 4 weeks. There is traditional too which ended like June 8th and goes back mid August I think.
